    love the episode and the pad discussion.
    i would have asked him also at what point he would consider changing the setup. like how much improvement has to be made to start to consider it?
    also how does he go about changing sense per scenario. when is it too slow or too fast and how to balance it.

    If you want an actual nuanced and balanced take on muscle memory and aim in general, take a look at Bardoz's video on how to be consistent.
    Muscle memory definitely exists, and you see all the time when you have to react to something quickly. You probably SHOULDNT rely on it as a main method of hitting targets though, because it's reflex rather than intentional aiming. So many rounds where I'll flick a corner or 180 someone that I in no way would have hit if I weren't on my main sens. Again, might not be a clean kill, but wins the game and that's what matters.
    Matty mostly plays aimtrainers, so in his main frame of reference, reflex/off screen shots aren't really a thing. But these scenarios do exist in games like cs. It should not be the main focus, but there's clearly merit to it.
    Muscle memory is not a myth. But it should not be the basis of how you aim. Big difference.

    • @alejocastel
      @alejocastel 4 месяца назад

      but it is a myth tho, what you are saying is hand eye coordination, only if u were on a drastically different sens and just changed it would you not be able to hit the same shot

    • @drawde3972
      @drawde3972 4 месяца назад

      @@alejocastel it's not. I'm talking about shots where the target is not even on screen. you just remember the feeling of flicking a distance purely off reflex. something that happens in games but not really in aim trainers. it shouldn't be the main way to aim, but it's still a skill that can make/break matches.

      @@drawde3972 unless you just perfectly snap to their head it ain't muscle memory since you'll flick to their general position and then correct your aim -> hand eye coordination

    His takes on muscle memory are terrible. I understand this guy may be an elite level player, but a lot of this information is genuinely bad. This is just a young elite player, he should take his own advice and realize that he is the outlier here and that majority of pro players will tell you that you should not be jumping around with your sensitivity and grips.

      ???
      You learn more from changing and adjusting. He even admittwdto adjusting sens per scenario or even per run, and clarified that one sens doesn't make you a god.
      There are MANY reasons to change sens often, and there are many reasons to keep it the same.
      You won't have a broad range of aiming & mouse control ability by sticking to ONE sens.
      Regarding tac shooters, sensitivity can dictate how you move, how you take fights, which ones, etc. Being able to play and try helps you learn and gain mouse control.
      Static sens could lead to more consistency, sure, but being able to adapt will take you much further.
      All of the top aimers in the word play with their sens
