I had the same question, but I slowed it down and got a good stop action shot at the bottom of his swing and it is below his bely button area and the head is down so I'd call it legal.
@@kenbrummel-smith5753 I slowed it down too to have a look. IMO quite a few of his serves are illegal. He is holding the head above his wrist on a lot of the serves and he is not going up at the point of contact. Questionable if he is below his belly button, but may be for most serves but VERY close.

These are indeed 3.5. I’m finding it difficult to lose weight playing doubles, so it’s still hard to move as well as remembered. We should all use video for reference.
Guy in the white cap is serving every serve illegally (IMO). Quite a few were connected too high, but ALL of the serves had the paddle too high in relation to his wrist. It is why he manages to get speed and a downward angle on his serves. Good serves are easy if you break the rules every time.
lol, there is already a game called paddleball, yes the name is silly but it was invented to just have fun but then people started taking it serious, thats when its not fun anymore. it's going to be bigger than tennis soon, as so many people can play it, in shape or not. This mean lots of money for sports companies, how can a simple paddle go from $30 to $250 in one year or so. Why would you pay this....Competition? players are always looking for an edge to win.
@@jessjess9066 people have fun in different ways. if you dont want to take the game seriously then you can buy a cheap paddle. some people enjoy being competitive. nothing wrong with it.
White cap guy serve is illegal, ref should've caught it
That very first point was the longest cord balance I’ve ever seen
Is Doug’s serve legal? Paddle does not appear below his wrist.

Is the 70+, age of players?
Yes
I have never been rated or played a tournament but if this is 3.5, then my friends and I are 4.0 or 4.5. at 70.

Much better commentating that with your 60+ gold.
Why not change the name to paddleball. Pickle is just silly.
Because it’s pickleball!
Paddle ball already exists for one reason.
