Thanks for the video. As one of the guys who founded Record Store Day, and works with the record stores to get the records made, I wanted to say I enjoyed your video. I’m a big English Beat fan too and their RSD title is on my list too. I’m glad you noticed the Mike James Kirkland record too. We always try to find these forgotten gems for the hardcore music fans. The RSD regional releases are one that we want to release but aren’t sure if a lot of people will come out for it.
If you haven't heard of Kelly Finnigan you gotta listen to it man. Best Christmas soul record in my opinion. That's the only think that really caught my eye but it a regional so I'll have to order it Saturday morning, but I'd highly recommend you take a listen
My biggest wants are The Faces BBC Sessions and 13th Floor Elevators. I would pick up the Doors if the price is not to expensive. I grew up in Bakersfield so it would be cool. I think there are several other good releases. I didn’t know the English Beat was a 2LP set. Go Dodgers.
Good call on the Mike James. I zeroed in on the jazz as not a lot of other stuff interested me. The Bill Evans is a no-brainer since I'm a huge Bill Evans fan. Definitely interested in the Chet's Choice Chet Baker (great album), but it's just an RSD first so I may grab it later. Dexter Gordon & Slide Hampton - A Day in Copenhagen is fantastic,, but regional so may be hard to find. Oscar Peterson Trio Con Alma is probably a get, I'm a big fan. Same with the Dave Brubeck Live from the Northwest. Really interested in the Les McCann, but a 3 LP is going to be pricey. Overall probably just going to stick with the jazz thing and pick up as many of the single LP jazz releases as I can afford.
I knew you would be all over that Jazz! I think I’m going to pass on Bill this year. Like I always say it’s going to be about cost. I do think this list has some sleepers that people will over look though.
I found a couple items that caught my interest and I have some to research. I often find to many album where I can find a clean OG cheaper than RSD which I find frustrating.
I’m sure there are some similarities but usually the UK list does have some different titles that we don’t get, normally ones that I wish we would get!
Captain Beefheart, Eric Dolphy, Meat Puppets, Sweet, Ultravox for me. Cheers.
I think I missed that Sweet one, I need to go back and check that one out! Thanks for checking out the video!

Thanks, I really appreciate that! Looking forward to Black Friday. My wife is really looking forward to the English Beat title.

I definitely will! Sounds like something I might like! Thanks for the heads up!

I didn’t think you were going to go out for Black Friday based on your video.
@@spindoctorandhisvinylmayhem It is a 2 hour drive to LA so I’m not going out for BFRSD. But there is a thing called the internet.😂
@vinylrichie007 you know I think I’ve heard of this before! Might have to give it a try some time🤣
So glad you used that title 😂. Like how you approached talking about your list. That Mike James sounds interesting; gonna stream it 🤘🏻
I tried to put a positive spin on it! I think that Mike James is a sleeper!

I agree with you about doing the research! That’s why the 2 main wants I have are things that are hard to find OGs of.
Great title! 😂 I’m not sure if it’s the same list in the UK I’ll have a look as there’s a few there I’d buy. Take care cheers

No David Bowie, what a shame
Surprising to not see a Bowie title for RSD
