Way cooler after you were done with it! Those plastic wheels are a nightmare to try to repair in any way! The wood wheel give it a nice 20s to 30s vintage look. Awesome!
Interesting idea with the wooden wheels. I would have put filler on the metal to hide the rust indentations though. But I like it and I will subscribe.
Tacking the thin rubber to the wooden wheels sort of defeats the object of the rubber. Also no spacers to centralize the front wheel. Better grooving the wooden wheels and fitting solid rubber tyres 😟
Those thin tacks won't do much harm to the ride quality, they stick further in than the rubber, and the load of a tiny kid spread of the rubber will make it perfectly comparable to the old plastic wheels it came with. Solid rubber tyres would've worked to, but you make it out as if this doesn't work at all, which it will Totally agree on the spacers for the front wheel though. Another addition could be to add some bushings inside the wooden wheels, so you don't have wood grinding straight on metal which might wear out soon.
Beautiful workmanship on the wheels, simple work on the scooter itself but you did the details very nicely. Only question is; Why is the front axel so wide, or why not fill the gap with thick washers to keep the wheel steady?
I don't think we need weight specifications for a tiny kid scooter like this. I bet the wheels will do just fine for a kid the size of this scooter, remember the weight is even distributed over 3 wheels, so probably max10 kg per wheel... They'll take that all day. Grip tape would've been a nice addition though :)
9:16 Living in a country with a lot of snow in winter (Canada), I have to say I appreciate the studded tires! :-) It's an all-weather scooter now! This was a nice restoration for display. The original condition looked so bad and the restoration looks so good. I love the approach that you took to deal with the broken wheels. Very creative.
The body came out beautiful. But why did you have to rush the wheels? The easiest thing was just cut the plastic spokes out and make two half and add each half of the wood to the inside with epoxy and screws. since they do still sell wheels I know we will see this again. but I like the wood rimm idea. Thumbs up!

Mark schwegler Thank you.
Mistakes are important. I love the wood wheels. Great job
I kind of like that tire replacement you did.. Gives it a nice and unique look.. Well done son... carry on!
i like the wooden wheels better than the plastic, nice job
Thank you.
Enjoyed your video and gave it a Thumbs Up
Beautiful restoration, nice wheels👍
Well do n e, mate. I would never have thought to replace the wheels with wooden ones. Very clever. 👍👍👍👍👍👍🇦🇺
Very nice, I like the wooden wheels better than the original plastic ones. Very creative solutions.
Dave Mills Thank you.
Very impressive! Subscribed.... Love all your restoration video... 👍👍👍👍👍
Lukman Haqimi Roslein Thank you.
Well done 👍👍👍. Now the scooter is ready for winter. Studded wheels. LOL

Very good!
Hi Yarimasu 👋👋👋very good restoration kids scooter 👍👍👍
you could glue rubber rings on the footing. it will make the footing less slippery..
Love your videos. The scooter turned out great.

Looks like it originally relied on some sort of self-centering (i don't think that someone removed that part and bothered to assembly it back)...
Павел Олейников. Wonder if there had been a plastic tubular spacer part on each side that became chipped away over the years.

Nice observation...but, i really dont think anyone will ride this. He probably kept it as a project for show or something.
Really impressive
Sanyikának szép rollere van 😀😎
Идея с деревянными колёсами хорошая, но нужно было, наверное, вставить подшипники, дерево сотрётся быстро.

Paul Orth Thank you. I just going to display, so I don’t think that is necessary.
Very good job.. 👍👍👍
Nice!
You need something non-skid on the foot bed. Also what is the top weight your wooden wheels can take?

Nice strategy showing us your mistakes. Now we can see you are human too.
eremia victoras 😂👍
Too cute!
This is brutal.
The front wheel is loosey goosey like that from the factory or are there pieces missing?
Good work! I think this channel is going to grow fast ;)

My thoughts exactly on the studded tires aswell XD Yarimasu got us poor sods in the colder climates covered :D

2:55 I noticed that you used the same clip twice by mistake
True.😂😂😂

よりアンティーク感が増した感じ。
You could just cast wheels from aluminum
