Minigun does less damage per shot, but shoots way faster, meaning it is much better in a crowd control situation against NPC peds. Also, always blows up unarmored vehicles much faster, plenty of videos on YT demonstrating that. Against armored vehicles, the .50 MG is a bit better. Against PCs, the .50 MG has a faster time to kill ~IF~ you can hit them, but in my experience they never just stand still and the IPC is always moving at high speed, so it is much easier to hose mobile PCs from a fast moving IPC with the high rate of fire from the minigun. Your mileage may vary, best weapon depends on your use-case.

I would say the minigun is more effective vs the oppressor, mostly because it gives a better chance of killing the pilot. The stats are 3 times faster fire rate for the minigun, and 30 vs 150 damage minigun vs 50.
It can tow ANY TRAILER that you can find attached to pickups, my favorite is the boat trailer. I wish I could buy a boat trailer with a boat on it in game.
The non upgraded gun actually does FAR more damage than the minigun variant. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a high fire rate. However, the bullets are also not tracers. Makes it easier to use as anti-air. Also the original variant EATS planes and helicopters. A about 4 shots and a buzzard begins to smoke
With the changes to passive mode, the civilian variant is not obsolete. It offers more time than a regular vehicle for a player to decide if they want to opt-out of a fight even after being hit by a few homing missiles
I'm sure he knows this but, that quality 1k is all he needs to stay afloat and make actual money so he can keep making RUclips videos for all of us. Numbers doesn't always count, just that 1k. Loyal and willing to give him our money.
IPUC has been my favorite vehicle ever since it came out. In fact the whole bunker and MOC update has always been my favorite DLC, just the fact that you can upgrade weapons is awesome.

Insurgent + avenger make you invincible from mk2s. If they ran out of rocket you just repair on your avenger. Some low level griefers even follow me to my avenger so I can mow them down with the canons, incredibly convinient!
A more novel idea would be to eliminate glass altogether and use a system of CCTVs instead. The way it'll work would be in normal view nothing would appear different but in first person the screen would split into quarters showing front rear left and right. Damage would result in individual cameras going out of action.

Me and my Nightshark would like to speak with you. The insurgent is good, but I love the Nightshark. It looks good with it without F1 wheels, and the sound it makes is so satisfying, it can take all 20 missiles from an Oppressor and you can use all of your drive by weapons, it’s prettt fast too. I can go on and on, the Nightshark became my personal drive around vehicle.
Man I haven’t driven either of my Insurgents in quite a bit. Mainly the Nightshark has been my all purpose armoured vehicle for some time, as I’ve had the unfortunate mess of playing solo due to network limitations. Given the amount of (lack of a better word) bullshit I’ve dealt with in public lobbies, I’ve essentially given up Free Mode Combat and I stay passive unless I got a sale to do.
There was a kind of glitch where I could lay 5 mines at the lsc in vinewood and even after being run over by another player, they would respawn and keep getting run over. Got 15 kills off 5 mines once
Yeah this vehicle is quite useful and beloved just like its PVE lil' brother the Kuruma. I killed so many MK2 noobs in my Insurgent Pickup truck. I went for lower armor so I can nuke them fools mosquitoes with my handy mines :) . Long live the Insurgent !

Revisit the Seabreeze. In 2021 I feel like its very under rated. The MGs despite being non explosive are more than capable of quickly destroying Hydras and Lazers under sustained fire, its fast, can survive being fully submerged briefly depending on how you land in the water, it can be beached and transition to land unlike the dodo, it can drop bombs, has two seats, and of course can have countermeasures (I personally choose chaff because its more helpful against the Depressor Mk2 and it would give you more of a fighting chance against one, especially in this day an age post NAT Type lobbies patch on Xbox). GhillieMaster ranked it the 3rd best dogfighter in the game, and I agree that its handling is much better than the Rogue's personally. It can make certain free mode missions a whole lot faster like certain Cayo Perico setups and the boat delivery for Biker businesses. Now made even more useful after R lets us despawn personal vehicles no matter what. Not just when we are an MC President and somewhere close by.
This will either never get seen, or will be too weird to use, but the next time you choose to use a civilian insurgent in an animation, you could probably have someone push open the hatch in the back, and pop out through the roof, either to escape or to use a large weapon.
The Insurgent is just a pretty great all-round vehicle, and very well armoured by today's standards of vehicles that can hold up against the Oppressor MkII😮👍👏
they need to make mk3s if they not going to ad new piratical armored cars. like switch out the turret for like a 2x mini gun or the AA cannon found on the AA trailer.

I got the insurgent pick-up when it last went on sale. Did not come with land mines when converted to insurgent custom, costs I think $99k to equip it.
Didn't professional test the guns and found out that the default is overall better? Like it does more damage per hit if I recall correctly. I remember testing it out and find that to be the case.
On the most part the minigun is better when it comes to spraying down players and npcs perhaps when bullets are not hitting metal But THE chance of a kill when trying to hit the person itself is better with minigun

What I don’t get about the insurgent is why nobody uses it anymore....I had a manacer and sold it for a hydra or something. I find all ground vehicle somewhat....useless? ( I don’t grief relax)

However, in online oppressors run free and the pain of knowing anyone can kill you at any time gives us fear. Those who are new get killed and the people that mind their own business trying to get more money fail. I see no world where the Kurama would be useful.

I only really use the insurgent when I have my friends but when I’m on my own I use the nightshark since solo it’s a much better thing It’s faster, it’s got no map logo, it costs less then the pick up and it can be customised anywhere so you can get those sick glitches paint jobs you can’t get anywhere but LS customs
Better acceleration and lower hitbox, so its much better for fighting mk2s. Its the only ground vehicle that you can reliably fight off 2 mk2s at once. The MOC cab doesnt allow you to throw stickies as far as the Nightshark and obviously the Ruiner 2k is useless in pvp

One thing you missed, the 50 cal is far better vs vehicles, and also pretty lethal vs players/pedestrians, but with lower fire rate.

I kept the original gun on it for this reason.
Minigun is a downgrade
No charge up time either, so its superior in pvp all around

I like the insurgent but I prefer my nightshark. Same armour but faster and better handling and has no map icon. Also in my opinion it looks cooler
