@@SailingKateLouise FWIW we recently "re-homed" a German Shepard who came with the given name of "Shaq" after the great basketball player Shaquille O'Neal; we have since re-named him "Shack" after the great explorer/sailor Shackleton. Both great men. But sailing (boats) interest me much more than basketball!
I think I have seen those boats smothered in canvass on canvass full of Rugby player types racing in Sydney harbour on Ian Smith's channel, or certainly replicas of them. They are amazing to watch. Enjoyed the readings. I keep meaning to get Shackleton's book, it was such an adventure.
Hi Dave, yep it has eased, even my sister in England had seen the floods on the news....while we are watching Boris....thanks for watching, cheers Paul
@@SailingKateLouise ah Boris always good entertainment about like the circus that's going on here best just to ignore politics and go sailing much better for the digestive system
Excellent clip mate, love the quotes especially the Micheal B McPhee one, can you tell me if it is a stand alone quote or an extract taken from a book? For those who may not know the skiff Yendys in this clip, can be seen here on youtube racing against other prominent skiffs of the era. Great clip and you've got the voice of a narrator, this format could be a good addition to your channel
Hi I've done a bit of digging and I can only find Michael B Mcphee's line as a quote, but I'm sure it must have come from a book of stories or poems. Thanks for watching again, cheers Paul
Fantastic Paul. You captured the emotional and beauty of sailing.
Thanks Rod , thanks for taking the time to comment, cheers Paul
Glad you went to have a look. It took me a lot longer than it should have to realize that Yendys is Sydney backwards!
