Hi, I just found your video. It is awesome. I tried to click on one of your links and it could not find the page. Can you tell me what heating tool you are using. Thanks much!
here’s a link but there are other places that sell it, so you can shop around 😊 www.amazon.com/Blazer-GB2001-Self-Igniting-Butane-Micro-Torch/dp/B000VML7KO/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Micro+torch&qid=1603482469&sr=8-2
You need to "pickle" your pieces after you fire them to remove the black firescale and then polish the wire. I have a video that shows how to do this economically if you're interested. It's at about the 4:30 minute mark 😊 ruclips.net/video/tFYK9oFvfAo/видео.htmlsi=KaW9Jpbn4A5mBiRw
Love these..Hey Denise, that wire rounder ( bur cup ) I have one just like it and it started wearing out. I bought 12 really nice ones without handles made in Isreal I believe and then took pliers and pulled my old one out of the handle and the news ones fit very snug in the handle. Let me know if you want the item number. I found the best price, like 12 for 16-17 dollars compared to one with a handle for 8-9 dollars. I havent worked with silver yet but am excited to start. Those ear wires are really pretty.
A silver or gold plated copper should work, also gold filled and silver filled but I’m not sure about other base or craft wires, you would have to try it to see how well they ball, since most times they need more heat and a jewelry torch may not be hot enough, you might need an acetylene torch . Also when you don’t know what is used for the coating like in non tarnish it’s hard to know what you’re heating up and what kind of fumes it’s releasing so I would err on the side of caution do you’re not breathing in toxic fumes. Hope this helps 😊
Always excited to see your videos Denise , hope you had a nice Thanksgiving 🥰 .
Thanks, All went well, hope you had a good holiday too, can’t believe we’re less than a month from Christmas, how did that happen! 😊

Hi. Wonderful tutorial. Thank you. How did you achieve shiny wires after creating the balls? Every time I try it they are black and pitted.

Sure I’ll take the link, thank you, and when I need a new one I’ll already the resource. 😊
@@DeniseMathew Did I ever give you the item number and or name of the guy I buy my wire from ?
Yes, you emailed it to me. I’ll probably stock up soon. Thanks again.
@@DeniseMathew No problem. I just bought a bench peg , ring vise and jewelers saw with 144 blades for 24.99
Wow, that’s an amazing price!
Great tutorial - can you achieve the same effect when using non-tarnish wire that has a coating? Thanks.

Can I use copper wire?
Yes, It may take longer to ball up but it will work. 😊
