Thank you for the tutorial! It was perfect timing as I had a customer who wanted some shoulder duster with a Yellow Quartz drop at the end. They turned out beautifully! I used Argentium Silver for the wires accented with a stardust gold filled bead. She is going to be thrilled. Thanks for all the inspiration Denise.

5 to 6 in for ea wire or total for both? Each was too long, 2.5 in was shorter than pictured. Thank you for the tutorial. I've purchased many type of earwires and these hang the best.
yes it’s 5-6 inches total, I used 2.5-3 inches of wire for each earwire. It can result in a shorter earwire based on where you bend the wire also how big your loop is can affect the length. Hope this helps 😊

Being on a strict budget, I use the file on my toenail clippers but it takes a little time to get it right and instead od nylon jaws I wrap my pliers evenly with duct tape. It helps a lot to prevent nicks and scratches.
Yes, the duct tape is a great way to prevent the scratches, I do that too because the nylon pliers don’t always how the wire tight. No, you don’t need to get a wire rounder tool, but it might be worthwhile getting a metal nail file, usually dollar stores carry them, it will be easier to use than the one you have now I think. If you decide that you need something a little sturdier, there are jewelry files that are great for all kinds of jewelry projects not just for earwires, here’s a link so you can see what I mean www.beadaholique.com/needle-files-set-of-12-for-wire-work-and-wrapping.html. I use the metal file that on a part of toenail clippers and finish it off with emery boards and or fine nail file/sponge since I have that on hand but I think I will get a metal nail file to dedicate to my jewelry. I feel good when I can improvise rather than spending tons of money for things that may not get used often. My memory is bad but I think you suggested the Xuron precision flush cutters. That's such an invaluable tool. I use it all the time. Would like to have a good pair for cutting thicker gauge wire gauges 10-18. Thanks for all your help! 🙂

This is interesting because I can’t keep the ear wires in my ears, i’m sitting at my desk filling out bills and all of a sudden my earring drops onto the desk in the select this is a long wire earring how can this fall out but they do somehow I didn’t seem to ever have this problem when I was younger but I don’t know if it’s my ear I don’t know if it’s the earring isn’t balanced? I can’t use the little rubber stoppers that go on the back of the wire because they’re so tiny I can’t keep hold of them with my fingers! LOL I might have to change out all my earrings to kidney bean shaped that have a latch on the ends!

Kidney wires are great, I’ve had issues with hooks too and love kidney wires, no issues.
