Surprised to see many linked attributes on Tamas! Thanks a lot for the explanation!! Only thing is how consciously we apply this in every single day in our life! PS: After listening to this video, I just corrected the spelling in this comment that generally i don't worry!!
Nothing to feel happy or proud of. And if you can laugh at your so called tamasic state then you're probably not really tamsik. Tamas is hell. It is painful, there's suffering. You dont do anything, you sleep, but when you wake up your life has become more difficult , more painful and then again you sleep and the cycle goes on.
Many traits you mentioned like hyperactivity impulsiveness are traits of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), I was diagnosed by this last year, put on medication, symptoms have mellowed down. I would like to know what you understand by it, what does yogic philosophy has in store to fix this since I was told it is treatable not curable.
In one unkisted video he was talking about yoga uses rajas to transform tamas into satva, rajas is like you do slight disturbance and then observe that dusturbance settle down like in yog asana on asana rest, other asana rest here rest trains your brain to control using invokuntary muscle or parasympathetic nervous system. Same way meditation is also used to cure thought process where we allow thoughts to move but instead of invokving them we are observing them and let them setlle. I think you should do 1 hr mediation after waking in the morning. Another thing which inorove attention is grounding excercises search it to know more
