Copied from "If its tuesday it must be Belgium". Though like most of RD Burman's copies, he mainly copied some of the base melody and transformed it completely. Mehbooba from Sholay was probably his most blatant copy (from "Say you love me". Mostly he would transform the song a lot.
Your review comments are very genuine and of a superior level cinema critique. Your imagination power is terrific - yes entire Indian populace in cities, towns and villages were catapulted to a dreamworld when watching Yaadon Ki Baraat in a dark cinema hall in those times, as was the norm. I am filled with memories of my childhood - I saw this in Zeeta Hall in a remote Industrial township in Upper Assam in mid-70s. That dilapidated theatre has been long demolished, I am told.
When this movie came out, a lot of girls in my mom's age group and area began to try to imitate Zeenat Aman's look. Especially the chokers she wore around her neck
This is really a beautiful and an emotional family movie with beautiful songs 😍 And yes the actor in this movie = Vijay Arora is the best actor and the most handsome actor in the world 😍♥️
Zeenat Aman use to study in Germany ( subject: journalism ) and she also use to do modeling over there. Then she came back here in india. Her father was a famous script writer in Bollywood.. he wrote many famous movie’s script. After coming back to India Zeenat keep doing her modeling here as well. Then she participated in the Miss India 1970 beauty pageant and she was elect as one of the winner ( top 3 ). Later that year she went for the Miss Asia Pacific international beauty pageant, where she won the crown and the title. Devanand one of most famous Bollywood actor and director spotted her in a film party. Zeenat was wearing a very skimpy outfit, but obviously she was looking very glamorous and promising. So Devanand went to her and approach her for a movie. And that’s how Zeenat step inside a Bollywood movie.
Such a joy to discover your channel by pure accident! Long live Big Data Analysis! I absolutely love your insightful comments. Yes Zeenat was a style icon -- utterly glamorous and could hold a scene on a her own. And this song (hand on heart moment) was not only magical on screen but a part of every mellow evening when one poured that one extra glass of wine or a peg of rum. Pure nostalgia
I was so excited to see this pop up in my subscription feed. This is my favourite song of ALL time. Your reviews are always so on point. Your description of this song as being cinema magic is just so perfect as that’s how I feel about this song. Zeenat Aman (along with Praveen Babi) are my all time favourites. They both exude beauty and style that to this day inspires me. To me Zeenat Aman has Jane Birken and Elle McPherson type of a look 💖
Your review is really worthy to hear... You understand the subject and music very well.. 👍 Yes the composition is just awesome and no wonder why it topped the charts for decades!!🤩... RD Burman was actually called the Musical Scientist of India because of his experimental use of Western music into classical to produce such masterpieces.....Asha Bhosle is a legendary singer known for her versatile sensuous voice and Md. Rafi was another legend loved for the sweetness in his voice... And Zeenat Aman was known for her boldness and charisma in those days.
Indian cinema creates the kind of magic what a real cinema shud create. The magic and opulence is unmatched. Thats why indian movies are so loved around the world.
Zeenie baby. Does she remind you of Barbara Bach? She did a similar role to The Spy Who Loved Me, in the movie The Great Gambler, filmed in Egypt and Europe.
Made me nostalgic. Zeenat was a natural when it came to show biz world. BTW - react to "Dhivara" (or its translation "Khoya Hai") from movie "Bahubali - The beginning".
This song is great. I dont know if top 100 list does justice to indian songs. There will be many greater songs than present in the list. You may want to do reviews of other songs as well
RDX Inspired by 'If It's Tuesday, This Must be Belgium. Majrooh Saheb wonderfull Lyrics Asha Tai's Flexible Voice Rafi Saheb's Incredible Magic Zeenie Baby as it's Peak At last most unfortunate underrated Bollywood Actor Vijay Arora.. Gold medalist from FTII Pune
What ever is nostalgic comes around an inspiration to us all in a world of innocence. A perfect world when we come to know how little we know. Thank you.
You certainly know indian movie and music, the actors and music directors, R.d burman was way ahead of the times, his music never dies, zeenat aman was a gorgeous and talented actress, just a bit of her personal life, she was married to sanjay khan, an actor As well, however she lived in a abusive marriage, which cost her an eye.
I love old Indian movies I love old Indian movies where Zeenat Aman was shot .She is beautiful and very elegant and feminine .There is also a beautiful song and dance of Zinat video : Raqqasa Mera Naam - Zeenat Aman - Amitabh - The Great Gambler - Hindi Item Songs - Belly Dancing
You must be hearing a western influence here. bluesy, sax...RD burman was heavily inspired by western music, Infact the first one to mix western and indian style of music... The progression here is 1/4 bluesy... He is considered legend in Indian music ... His father SD burman was also amazing and a greater legend who ruled the 60's ... RD usually worked with Kishore, Asha. Anand bakshi { legendary Poet, There was a time he was writing 70% of bollywood songs}.. Where these 4 met, The song was considered a success... Listen to RD's starting albums you'll know how and where his ,musical influence was coming from.. The only thing ruined bollywood was that actors was given more power and became more famous stars as compared to singers, composers, songwriters, musicians (which is the basic creative process)... NO one cares about the song writers/composers even now.. Result the music industry is making way with bollywood which started happening in 90's with indie bands like Silk Route (listen to their albums they are western influenced + amazing music) ,euphoria, lucky ali ... Even the music directors who worked later in early 2000'2 in bollywood were all indie once.. Now 2022 Indie music is at absolute rise.. This is just a small picture of music scene in India....
I have seen this Top 100 list which you are following. Though some of the songs like this one are really good and I enjoy their reviews thoroughly. But I don't agree with that list. Many deserving songs never made to the list despite being loads better than some songs on the list especially new songs. Some are even in top 30.
Please watch and react to Zeenat Aman in a totally opposite role as an uneducated, rustic, poor village girl in the film and title song 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram'. An out of world song by Lata Mangeshkar, amazing photography and a stunning Zeenat Aman as a low caste, untouchable village girl. The song is Satyam Shivam Sundaram, from the movie by the same name. I promise you will be spellbound!
Great review a man who actually enjoys the music and has a good understanding. I actually enjoyed this review you don’t seem to do it for views. You should check out her story a massive star but her life was a tragedy kinda like Marilyn Monroe big star sad life but she’s a live and still looks great. Ps this song has been remixed so many times the also in one the main line is in Brit Indian jay Sean’s song calls stolen.
last week i got my haircut. i was talking about styles and length with my sister and she says "you should get your hair done like zeenat aman in that song with the guitar. that always looks good on you. i mean... she wasn't wrong. i'm getting loads of compliments on it
Indian films start from 1932. Every movie had atleast 4 songs average. How many songs we have till today? This song is in top 10 songs ever. Just ever!!! Now u can understand important of this song.
PLZ PLZ REACT TO SONG "LE JA LE JA LE JA MERA DIL" FROM MOVIE AN EVENING IN PARIS (1969), IT'S A STAGE SONG KIND OF ROCK N ROLL, N SHARMILA TAGORE IS LOOKING GORGEOUS IN IT..! ALSO THE SONG IS VERY NICE n CATCHY...
I agree that the lady (zeena, correct me if my spelling is wrong) is having a kharisma or some star aura. It's visible from her eyes. It's very likely that she's born to be an attractive performing artist. There's no logical explanation, but some people (morely the sensitive ones) can just notice that she's kharismatic, attractive and talented by the nature. There's no flirting or seduction vibes on her as well, it all goes natural
The opening of this song is iconic. Every Indian has played this with two glasses. Pure genius.
One of my most favorite songs. Not only mine, this one is all time hit in India even today.
One of greatest composition of the legend RD Burman and superb singing of asha bhonsle
Copied from "If its tuesday it must be Belgium". Though like most of RD Burman's copies, he mainly copied some of the base melody and transformed it completely. Mehbooba from Sholay was probably his most blatant copy (from "Say you love me". Mostly he would transform the song a lot.

Got goosebumps when the male singer started!!!❤❤❤❤
Zenat aman was the sex symbol of late 70s and 80s and loved by lots of people and was one of ladies who introduced western influences in Indian cimema
When this movie came out, a lot of girls in my mom's age group and area began to try to imitate Zeenat Aman's look. Especially the chokers she wore around her neck
