I have to agree with Evan on this one. Vacations are the time to go out to eat and try different foods. Vacation is all about the food!
Except vacations are expensive as is and to add food from a restaurant on top of that may not work for some.
I agree with Carlin vacations are for chilling. No need to get dolled up unless going to a really fancy restaurant you've never been to/tried before. Thanks for the vlog!

Like Carlin my absolute favorite time on the beach is late afternoon when people have left the beach and the sun is beginning to go down. There are not many people left and it is so, so peaceful. What a beautiful beach. Very clean. I can't believe how much Zade is changing. He is a toddler now, not a "baby". Watching him studying Evan's face after being told "no hitting" is also an indication he is beginning to recognize the boundary of right or wrong. It was adorable after he was told no hitting, with a sterner tone, that he just stared at Evan for a minute. You could see his little mind deciding if he should stop hitting or was there any facial expression of anyone laughing. He stopped, so I guess he got the message. I love watching their little minds develop. Ages and stages is my motto and it is forever changing. Your kids are so well behaved. What a fun week for you all.
I absolutely love that you got Zade’s little Sandy toes! So precious!
I am with Carlin on staying in and skipping the restaurant. The last thing I would want to do after being on the beach all day is get myself and two kids ready to go out. The sit and wait 2 hours for a table. That is no fun.
Next time you go on vacation, check into getting your groceries delivered. You can have your delivery scheduled for after you arrive. Then no trying to shop when everyone is exhausted.

What a wonderful family vacation. The kids look so happy and content to be hanging with mom and dad. Zada look completely adorable laying on the beach taking his nap.🤗 Nothing as special as making those family memories. It's also fun too to go in a big group. No wrong way to vacation, as long as you're making those good memories.😀
In regard to food, my family and I love fresh seafood, so when at the beach we do most evenings go out to either a calabash seafood buffet, or to a nice sit down and order restaurant. When possible, making reservations at the sit down and order places is best. At the calabash restaurants, we try to time our dinner in order to catch the early bird specials, which are generally from 3-5 pm. On those days, we eat b'fast, skip lunch and then finish up dinner in plenty time to watch the sunset, or do a fun game of dusk to dark mini golf. We also buy food at the grocery store to make all of our breakfasts, lunches and snacks, helping to cut down on overall food cost.
Inadvertently convinced me, along with evacuation news, that we aren’t ready for a vehicle that needs to be plugged on. Sweet family memories. I plan to go to the beach this winter. Can’t wait.

When my fiddle-in-the-middle (middle child) was little, she sang "frow, frow, frow yer boat dently down an scream" instead of "row, row, row your boat gently down the stream". (She didn't yet have the 'th' sound figured out, so she said "frow" instead of "throw".)

The cutest kids ever! Orange beach is my favorite beach! Even, when you go to the beach you stay at the beach. No shopping No eating out but maybe once but have it delivered. You can do all that other stuff at home.

Yes! If you go to the beach, you eat breakfast and lunch with groceries you bring or buy. Dinner at the beach is always out and it is always at a restaurant with fresh seafood.
My family always went out in the town during vacation! We did all the tourest attractions and ate at restaurants we didnt have at home. After about 2 hours at the beach everybody wanted to go do something else. I could imagine going to do the activities in town getting really expensive though if you have alot of people to pay for.

Ahhh! Orange Beach! We used to go often with our kids! Now they are all grown and we have 15 grands and greats…so far! Thanks for sharing your vacation! I love watching your weekly videos….and Evan I think you are hilarious! God bless you guys!

If you will rent a house at Fort Morgan the beach won't be as crowded. We were able to leave our tent up all week. It's just a few miles west.

I love this vacation video. You guys are wonderful to your children. Glad you realized vacations are for the kids at this age and for awhile. My children are all grown we took 4 kids and some of their friends. Good memories but a lot of work. Wouldn’t have miss it for the world. My husband and I do enjoy our couple’s vacation

I’m with Carlin! With little kids who are tired from a long beach day, it’s best to eat at “home”. If you want to do something special as adults, order from door dash, etc.
We do a grocery delivery right to our vacation spot! Not sure if they deliver to condos, but it saves a lot of time and stress. My husband drives and I make the grocery order on the drive there ☺️

We love beach vacations. We learned early on how exhausting it is to be in the heat at the pool or on the beach all day; so, we do lunch out and then if we’re hungry later, back in our room/house we’ll have snacks/cereal/sandwiches/etc. Lunchtime at nice restaurants are usually not busy and we don’t feel like we need to dress up. Always enjoy your blogs; keep up the good work!
i am with carlin when i am on vacation, no make up, no dressing up, taking naps, sight seeing, relaxing, maybe eat lunch out somewhere kinda nice, but by night time i am ready to crash

I'm team Carlin. Stay in and eat cheese. Restaurants in touristy areas are rarely worth the hassle. I'd rather relax and rest on vacation.
Im from a beach town. I don't recommend eating on the beach come into the city and eat a restaurant if you have to. The restaurants in the city.....near the outskirts are affordable

I’m enjoying your vacation video! Layla is so cute and has quite the personality! Zade is adorable! I’m with Carlin! Especially this time of year when it is SO HOT AND HUMID and when the sun sets, it feels a little better and you just want to have a snack and watch the sun set!!! I always hated going in at 4:30 or 5:00pm, just about the time it was starting to get a little more comfortable outside! 😊😂😂 Although in July and August…. It’s just TOO HOT for me! 🥵

This is amazing! Around this time last year is when Carlin was not feeling well and you guys were not able to go places and now look at yall! I'm still praying for Carlins health and healing in Jesus's name, but I also believe that miracles come in all shapes and sizes and this vacation is a miracle!

Next time try Folly Beach SC. I was there this summer with my kids and grandkids. 11 of us making the best memories.
