Glad I found this video, glad you also explained the two rubber intake sleeves. For my car, the Porsche dealer had the outside lips folded inside the polymer part of the intake/airbox. I knew it looked funny during the test drive/inspection. I asked the sales guy and which he responded it was "perfectly normal" lol. After I brought the car home I fixed both thanks to this video. They look much better and cleaner, and I think accelerates better (but I'm most likely just imagining that). Thank you!
Glad the vid could help, yeah that's a small detail a sales guy would definitely not know about. In terms of power only thing I can think is that with the boots connected properly and pulling air from the filters it pulls cooler air, instead of hot open engine air.
Awesome, super helpful, thank you. My wife has a new 2021 Cayenne, same Turbo 3.0 V6, not too much different from my 2013 Carrera 3.4 N.A., though the layout is a bit different. Same oil filter housing and basic drill. Now I feel more confident, tackling the first on hers...
At our shop we have an autel elite Snap on apollo And an outdated porsche piwis None of which could reset the 2020 cayenne. I believe an up to date porsche piwis scanner would be required for the 2020 at least not sure about the 2019
Thats so funny, didnt notice that. Well vw and audi share tons of parts and manufacturing. And i believe vw owns porsche now, but i haven't personally seen vw parts in a porsche. Ive seen a mercedes transmission in an automatic boxster haha
Look at the history of Porsche and how the company was started. He essentially started out with gutted VWs and had an agreement with VW for parts. VW/Audi is in their DNA.
so the one in the video had like 15,000 miles already so I didn't bother paying attention, since ours drains into the big container and not a bucket it's hard to see. but in regards to your car it would be normal to see some shavings or glitter if the motor was brand new or rebuilt, after that you really shouldn't be seeing much unless you have big problems lol
it's a 32mm oil filter wrench. so its still a normal socket size technically its just low profile compared to a 32mm axle nut socket. here's am amazon link of one. www.amazon.com/Ibetter-6-Point-Wrench%EF%BC%8C3-Volkswagen-Chevrolet/dp/B07L9P8GJQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=24ACX25DU2BLZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.k3kKPmBReA6KUjd10ZaxtxsruPqquRx48a3A4rv--T1A69ETnWoGQH_3O1XYFlPRsUrQeDFjSbvx7THE4N62ckXpZs5CV_gGSeTHASnqCKnA0ubWTO9SIFI8IqqYODB2GXWMBDRp3d_Vv4D_QlVi1aiBmGBHf3TJhOVUEE6GUahUb_B1-hsBorq31bHEidKKDCBiRRaZikw3OVCDANYUPQ.3vrr90Eez-1RfTVP2dTVXdFDQ37saUJn--7sjZoWL-8&dib_tag=se&keywords=32+mm+oil+filter+socket&qid=1709669318&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&sprefix=32+mm+oil%2Caps%2C190&sr=8-4
Hmm i wish i had a for sure answer. But i dont remember seeing a dipstick tube. You would need a dipstick tube to suck the oil out from the too. I know older models had a tube, but didnt come with a dipstick so people would make there own. I would say no, from what i remember
@@RatedRTV i will try to make a short video these days. I was going underneath to do it but it was so complicated. Since I also have a s5 with same engine, I found the same hose as that near the oil filter housing.
Great video! It’s amazing how complicated something that should be simple the manufacturer’s make it so most people take it in for service.
Thank you! Yeah at least in this case they definitely tried to hide the filter, but once you know where it is, its not terribly hard

Thanks man finally found a video searching more than 5 months didn’t find any ,thanks man all the best
Yeah some unique things about this car. Glad it helped!
It's a perfect explanation and great information thank you brother I like it 👍
Excellent video, now my go-to for Cayenne work!
glad it helped!

Good luck, glad i could help!
Great thanks! Would you please recommend diagnostic tool to reset all alerts for 2019 cayenne base?

1:12. Is that an Audi logo under the drain hole??? Also a VW sticker to the right of it. Are all 3 manufacturers parts interchangeable???

@@RatedRTV At 5:21 you can see VW-AG stamped in the frame.
@@BW-kv9wj wow great eye, well vw owns a lot of brands now so guess more parts will be popping up

Where you able to reset the "service necessary" pop up?
can you please post how to reset the alert after the oil change?
You need a scantool to reset it, unfortunately.
@@RatedRTV thank you so much
Hi great video! Did you notice slight metal shavings? I have 21 cayenne base, saw some and dealership is insistent this is "normal"

Oil capacity?
Nice demonstration!
Thanks glad you like it.
Can you tell me the exact tool used to remove the oil filter housing? Thank you

Excellent thank you!
Thank you for the video
What kind of oil did you use?
I wrote it in the description i beleive, it was 0w20 ESP mobil 1, supplied by the customer from porsche
find a oild meet VW508 is fine
What did you use to reset the Service Reminder?
you'll need a fairly sophisticated or specific scan tool to reset these newer cars unfortunately. we used a PIWIS 3 scan tool
Is the process for a base 2019 the same as this?
from what I can see the 2019 cayenne can come with smaller v6 with one turbo which would be different, but the twin turbo model would be the same.
What did you torque the drain plug with new washer to?
Most specs call for 20-30 ft/lbs. When you've done thousands you start to just go by feel.
Is there a hose that I can exact the oil with the extractor?
Hmm i wish i had a for sure answer. But i dont remember seeing a dipstick tube. You would need a dipstick tube to suck the oil out from the too. I know older models had a tube, but didnt come with a dipstick so people would make there own. I would say no, from what i remember
@@RatedRTV hey man, I found the extract hose. If you look next to the filter, there is a very thin hose with a little cap.
@@baidefeng3139 did i capture it in the video, if not is it to the left or right of thr filter so other peoplr know

Just did one on the twin turbo 2.9l. Stupid ass oil change lol.
