Ironically with the rise of streaming, piracy dramatically decreased around the world because of the convenience and low cost. Fast forward a few years there are so many different services now each locking content away that you need to run 4+ subs just to watch everything you want to. This in turn will once again push customers away and create a piracy boom imo.
Why do I need to pay 5€+5€+5€+5€+5€ and manage subscriptions of all these different services if I can pirate for free on demand AND get content that none of these companies offer (because you can't find them on streaming services). As someone once said, piracy is an issue of service and convenience, not price and I couldn't agree more. If I was offered ALL the content I might want, I'd gladly pay whatever fair price is stamped.
This is spot on. Locked content and forcing you to pay for several accounts. No way in hell im doing that. Alot of people have forgotten how convinient bittorrent can be! Thats what happens when these companies get to greedy.
Piracy is increased more than ever. Because movies are now coming between 30 to 45 days after theatre release, there are more chances of getting in before it even reaches to ott. Also with plenty of shows, there are entire season of your favourite are available.
Its over $20 a month to simply stream above 1080p. If you have a 4K HDR TV, you have to pay over $20 a month just to watch a show at the resolution of your TV. The free version of RUclips lets you stream any content at 4K that is available, so don't try telling me this isn't about them trying to raise revenue out of sheer greed. Netflix is also cutting back on traditional shows and movies in favor of their own first party shows/movies, many of which I do not care about. There's several better options than Netflix at this point.
That's it exactly. Good shows and no ads. I will pay for no ads but won't even take the 30 days free offers that include ads. Add to that, no more wokeness. That would be the winning formula.
Netflix has a lot of good shows! The problem is it's been around a while and we've already gotten everything out of it, once you've watched them all twice there's not much left to do.
Netflix did it to themselves, I have very little sympathy for them. They offered the same exact service and wanted 2x as much for it than when it started, and the quality of options had not changed. In the meantime umpteenth competitors entered their market offering just as good of options at lower rates. Simply put: they priced themselves out of their own market. I was a Netflix subscriber for years, and I saw my monthly subscription rate slowly creep up yet the programs available for streaming where limited in each category and many of heir new shows contained "woke" content I just couldn't relate to. In the meantime their nostalgic offerings were very limited while free apps carry tons of that content. The only thig Netflix had/still has going for it are no ads/commercial breaks but it sounds like they are toying with that idea-bad idea on their part. Netflix adding ads will likely be the nail in the coffin for them, since not streaming ads was one of the major original selling appeals for their service.
I completely agree with you. It's greed, and thankfully people are saying "no thanks" and Netflix is feeling it. Rising costs is potent. just an excuse to get more profit from the thought that ppl. are blind and willing to pay more right now. People choosing the better service that doesn't short change them is called capitalism.
Yea their collection nowadays are quite stark compared to what it used to. Talking about adding insult to injury after paying them only to discover that they’re supporting woke socionazis now. Mmhmm my favorite fashion GQ mags? also pull that ugh.. wtf i used to buy their message “strong independence” till i regretted it when a lady fell down stairs and she lay there looking left and right in pain, and i didn’t do shit till she said “help i your need help please” and later asked me why I didn’t react faster. because of that message often told men shouldn’t assuming lady need help um.. like wtf is that crap? They’re human too! Right after that moment i realize it’s huge flaw, not realistic modern movement. i blocked any of those crap messages ever since
You lost credibility at the "woke" comment. Woke is not a legitimate criticism. It's a term used by bigots. You either need to accept that shows and films aren't all made just for you, or come up with actual criticisms. Also, Netflix isn't "woke". They made three 'Kissing Booth' films. People are complaining about their content precisely because they are behaving like a mindless corporation. They are preferencing too much lazy, cheap content filled with stereotypical plots and characters (like 'Riverdale'), over their unique and beloved content (like 'Anne with an E'). Basically, they are choosing content with short-term viewership gains over content with long-term viewership gains and loyalty. And that's a dumb move because it fills Netflix with poorer quality content and good half-finished content, and alienates its loyal viewers.
I have a Netflix account and don't consider shutting it off yet. However, I totally understand people because Netflix charges exceptionally high for its content which has begun to be not good. Altering reality, history, and written stories and books have caused backlashes. People want to enjoy some of their free time by watching something good, and the meaning of good that Netflix produces and promotes is different now. And I am saying these as a person who appreciates these differences.
If they chase that 9% who would go for a cheaper, ad-filled model, I wouldn't be surprised if they lost _waaaaaay_ more people cancelling their subscriptions out of principle.

@@SethiozProject They don't region lock _their_ content, the stuff they make themselves. It's the third party content that gets region locked, because Netflix literally has no choice if the original creator has already sold the streaming licence to some other service in a different country, or doesn't want to sell it. Netflix being online doesn't change the fact that most terrestrial networks only have access to certain countries or regions, and aren't going to sell Netflix their shows in the countries they operate in themselves.

Netflix charges me $20 a month just to get 4k streaming. 4k is included in almost every other streaming service without paying extra. And the worst thing is the majority of shows are not even available in 4k and I never even knew until recently. With software like sonarr and radarr which automates torrent downloading with plex theres really no reason to keep paying when you can get everything you want easier for free.

So in my case we have the 5 user premium plan for my entire family and we live in 5 different homes they will charge us an extra $1100 (pesos). In my opinion that is a scam, because we are paying for the premium plan. Who said it had to be in the same house? That's the whole point of a streaming service, what's the difference with cable then? They just want more profit and it's backfiring. Stop the WOKENESS
If you like documentaries, there are a few extremely reliable, safe, free up to date and easy to access streaming sites available.
Piracy is very necessary so that they will evolve their business model.
RUclips has a 15 second ad for every minute of video on average. So I guess you're complaining that Netflix doesn't have that many ads?

Also, they would have to stop canceling their upcoming animated shows before production
@@Michelle-jg2mp the term "wokeness" is the most ridiculous word ever
literally everyone is screaming that account sharing IS NOT the problem, its that everything on netflix is SHIT while its so expensive now.

Right after that moment i realize it’s huge flaw, not realistic modern movement. i blocked any of those crap messages ever since
Lol, if you want "non woke" content you can just watch Fox News all-day
Why would you fee sympathy for a company anyways

People want to enjoy some of their free time by watching something good, and the meaning of good that Netflix produces and promotes is different now. @@SethiozProject Indeed is one of my main reason as well why I hate it, thanks for the important ad.
