I'm not a huge fan of Tati, but trying to equate her helping James' career at 16 to Colleen sending Adam lingerie at 14 is kinda insane. Colleen got backlash for being inappropriate towards her underage fans, not just "being friends" with them
Trisha bringing up James Charles every episode and growing more fond of him is gunna make me stop watching. He’s a full blown predator
I also found it quite weird how adamant Moses and Trisha were in comparing the Tati-James dynamic to Colleen and Adam + her other child fans. Oscar didn’t mention this I think, but there was literally a sexual component to the latter situation where that woman sent a child her underwear, told him information about her sex life, etc. I don’t think it was appropriate for Tati to be so close with a non-family member teenager in any capacity, but at least both of them have never contested the nature of their relationship as purely being mentor-mentee where she overstepped and acted a bit too motherly / parental to someone who wasn’t her child.
Not to mention, other than his predatory behavior, James has also had full on close friendships with children much younger than him as an adult like Charli D’Amelio. I’m pretty sure Trisha and him literally had drama a few years ago where she called him out on that so…
@@noiya.r.n I am glad you said it! I felt like it was common sense seeing the differences in those particular peoples relationships. While it may be odd to have younger people “collab” with older people, work environments are a whole different situation than actively hanging out, befriending, or god forbid, speaking sexually with someone younger. Colleen talked about thongs and naked pictures of Trisha to her underage fans, I don’t see in any world how that compares to Tati and James. As far as we know, Tati just took her “mother” role too far and James just proves to have always been a weirdo.

Tati’s relationship with James was weird, but I think I feel differently about it compared to Coleen’s with Adam because of all the information that came out about Colleen (the girls story about being on stage) and the dynamic between the two of them (what she mailed him, the pictures of your content she showed him). Tati was like a business mentor to James and when you get into such a big industry so young, you do tend to look to people older than you with more experience to help guide you. The sad part is that it was all business for Tati and James saw it as more personal than professional. But I do think James being friends with Tati isn’t the same as Colleen being friends with Adam because Colleen was an actual groomer. To say they’re the same just because Tati was older isn’t exactly right. it just depends on the specific people involved. For example, you being friends with Tana is fine because it’s a healthy friendship without any ill intent on either side.

@@gracie_cono because again, Colleen is an actual groomer with a history of doing weird things to minors. It depends on the two people involved, specifically the older person. And the older person in Adam/colleen or Colleen/Jojo is a creep. Tati isn’t a great person, and as a grown woman trying to take down the life of someone that much younger is definitely weird, but it doesn’t make her Colleen.

Ohh Trish. There is such a big difference between Tati & James, and James & online under aged boys, and Colleen and Adam. Yes it’s odd for Tati to have had a mentor relationship with James he was so young. But James & Colleen are predators (and the proof & evidence came out) I just can’t agree with you on that one. I think comparing Tati and James to Colleen and Adam is a bit dangerous. Power dynamic might be similar but don’t forget, Tati actually helped James and wasn’t trying to manipulate him. She also wasn’t being inappropriate with him, if anything she was holding him to a higher standard of maturity at his age.

Charli was gonna debut at #1 in the uk and Taylor did last minute drop new voicememo versions only in the uk
i feel like the taylor drama was because taylor specifically released a UK only variant when charli was having her first opportunity to top the charts in her home country. it’s not like taylor releases country specific variants on the regular so it just seemed kind of targeted.
there’s some weird lore there because one of charli’s songs on the album references taylor, and charli is engaged to the 1975s drummer and friends with gabriette and matty healy who taylor dated and had a bunch of songs about, and gabriette announced her engagement to matty at a charli concert etc etc. but anyway it came across as an intentional move on taylor’s part to block charli.
