- H.E. Ambassador Husam Zomlot lambasts Israel's lies about reducing its operations in Gaza in an interview with BBC HardTalk.
Dr Zomlot said Israel wants to continue to deny the rights of the Palestinian people across occupied territory.
BBC is shameless and this presenter is clueless
That is the nature of this program. A pretty good one in the landscape of UK media. Knowing a little about the presenters character I will safely say he is 100% on the side of Palestinians in this horrible saga but he is doing his job by playing the (unpaletable) part of the detractor and asking the hard questions. Totally understand your comment but this show is very highly rated in Britan and Ireland because of the quality and spectrum of the guests and the antagonistic/oppositional nature of the interaction. Husam does his people credit on the often unfriendly world stage. Peace and freedom to Palestine!
@@DwynAgGaire lovely detailed comment
Presenter is trained and only has the ability to bark and bite against anyone who stands up intellectually against the colonists players
Hard out agree with u @syk
The way he frames his argument is very much anti-palestine. The same shite as piers morgans framing of this "war"

Btw Canaanites were living there long before Israelites and the DNA of Palestinians shows their the descendants of Canaanites.
@@mrsolo2859 Palestine is the name given to the territory by the Romans when they had massacred the Jewish people after they revolted against colonisation. They named it after the Philistines who of Greek origin who were enemies of Israel, to spite the rebelling Jews. Sechem they called Nabulis which means new city. Nothing about the true history has anything to do with the Arabs ( word meaning desert), who came with the Ottomans and Saladin before that
@jn, The bible was revised to fit the Zionist narrative. Look up "Scofield Bible"
If Gaza carnage is triggered by October 7, then what triggered October 7?
Absolutely 👍 no one ever asks that question
that would be when the Arab nations waged war on Israel trying to genocide them out of existence multiple times and have been preaching their destruction ever since. It’s another round of their complete refusal to recognise any form of self-determination for Jews in the land.
Hollywood says brown people are just terrorists so Oct 7 must of been totally unprovoked......but in reality it was totally provoked everyday for so many years.
I don't know, probably the same thing that triggered 1929 Hebron massacre.. Jew hatred

It’s disgusting how these presenters are so ignorant to this whole issue

They've been like this for decades and they're getting more biased
Bravo Husam Zomlot: hearing the truth through thorny interrogations; the Palestinian people are among the most resilient people in the world and millions of us worldwide stand fast with you: we see International Law flagrantly flouted at every turn and Israel committing the most unearthly war crimes. We will never stop supporting the Palestinian people in their absolute right to sovereignty and self-determination or calling for a permanent ceasefire. In Solidarity.

To understand the situation, you look at Hamas numbers and you look at Hezbollah numbers. Notice how Hamas and Hezbollah have almost a perfect record of targeting soldiers while IDF targets women and children.
40000 dead, thousands buried alive, not accounted for...this is beyond unbelievable
multiply that by 10. There's no one to count the dead anymore. It's Bern sitting around 40 000 for months now. Doesn't include the buried under the rubble, the 22000 missing children, the ones who are dying from malnutrition and disease, the ones who are dying from a lack of healthcare. The real number would be staggering.
@@asmazak those are not the correct numbers. Read the UN reports. Also, they do not differentiate between ham ass coward "fighters" and civilians. And children is anyone under 18. They shouldn't have started the war. War is terrible. Ham ass doesn't care, they live in Qatar apartments

@@orgefen1300 BBC has a unit called BBC Verify which they tout as cutting edge in identifying disinformation, so one expects them to have done the work to verify and corroborate sources before broadcasting information. I honestly thought journalists were meant to do this anyway. If there are facts and sources, then the BBC should cite them and if there are no facts and sources, why is this presented to us as news?
@@doggieclaude What he claims Sinwar said is something so common in the "Palestinian" world, that it barely requires any proves. For you maybe, because you probably never met a "Palestinian" in your life. Those of us that do know them, dont even need this.

If you want news, the BBC is not a place to go to. I look at what he said as push back on the ideology of the "Palestinians", they are not as innocent as they present themselves to foreigners.

Yeah spend the whole show talking about it even if the guest doesn’t agree so the viewer leaves with the impression that’s there’s only one moral issue
If you are so scared of what he is saying, why did you invite him on your program 😅
Husam Zomlot is the noblest expression of the Palestinian struggle.
Reporter is literally Machiavellian in his thinking and beliefs. Zomlot, as always, very eloquent
Congratulations to Mr. Zamlot for delivering a clear message on behalf of his people... we all hope for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, and an end to the suffering that we have witnessed in real time...

Nobody talks about october 6th, or all the days before that.
Husam Zomlot is an excellent diplomat and an intelligent, articulate and eloquent speaker. The BBC interviewer is no match for Zomlot and the truth no matter how he tries to spin it.
Absolutely agree!
Such a poor line of questioning and trying so hard to give legitimacy to an ongoing genocide.
I'm a European, which I don't understand, that countries like Germany, which itself committed genocide against the Jews, countries like the UK, which itself ratified the international laws after the Second World War, still support an Israel that has been for decades violating human rights, committing war crimes, and taking foreign land by force through the settler policy. An Israel under the right-wing radical Netanyahu government, which has already been warned and condemned several times by the International Court of Justice. If you repeatedly pressurize a boiler, it will explode a boiler like Gaza. Through discrimination, violent displacement of people, and destruction of houses and olive groves in the West Bank, at some point the logical reaction will come, October 7th. The UK, Germany, and the USA are complicit in this situation by turning a blind eye and tolerating human rights violations and war crimes for decades. Now people are still trying to distort the facts, like in this show. Germany should be the most ashamed. In World War II, they committed genocide against the Jews and now support a government that commits genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza. Never again doesn't just apply to Jews; it applies to all peoples. Israel has been screwing over its partner countries for decades, and the partner countries like the UK, Germany, and the USA are like the three monkeys, see nothing, hear nothing, and remain silent. It's a shame.
Well articulated! Please help spread the truth to all peoples in Europe. The Palestine people must receive their justice.
Zomlot should ask him back do you believe in democracy? If he says yes then why not allow Palestinians to choose whom they should be governed by.
If Hamas is popular isn’t it democracy?
The bbc can never give a non biased interview…

Zomlot is a great man and a very good speaker, I hope every day that we will see liberation for his people in my lifetime
The presenter never talked about the wrong doings of Esrael , NataSATAN. Such a hypocrite.
Husam will go down as a Palestinian legend
The pure arrogance in the man and the BBC that he is actually laughing at times during the interview ike this whole thing is a joke.
This BBC journalist’s framing of questions is so revealing of his underlying opinion about Palestine. Condescending at best, tending towards disrespect
He's another version of Piers Morgan.
Asking if recognition of Palestine matters to the people of Palestine is as stupid a qu as i ever heard
Husam - you're an amazing human.
Free Palestinian people from oppression and apartheid AND the illegal settlers
Husam is very smart at dismissing his distraction techniques. If you are reading this Husam tell the PA to rise up because they are going full on and stealing the West Bank. Praying for your people.
Advise to Husam Zomlot: It’s time for you to resign from the Palestinian Authority and join the Palestinian masses fighting for independence each on his own way. Let alone the PA is mired in corruption, it was originally created in order to reach a solution, through peaceful means, to establish a Palestinian state on part of historical Palestine, side by side to Israel. This solution has come to a dead end, and the Israeli leadership have said it again and again: “No to two state solution”.
You are right. He needs to go back to Gaza and
Join his Worshipers.
There is nothing he can do do from the UK.
Steve, I think you should do a soul search. Or swap your Hardtalk to BBC approved hard ralk to the government of the day. Have a look at your oldest interview with the same guest!
Presenter : tries to blame PLO for recognizing the existance of Hamas whose leaders are prosecuted by the ICJ
Also Presenter : omits that his country the UK and the USA are supporting , and arming a country whose leaders are also prosecuted by the ICJ for the same crimes (but in a 40 times larger scale) ....
Exactly!
Has anyone noticed the interviewer won’t look at the face and ask certain questions,
Indeed that’s right. More than that, the interviewer was hunched over and gazing up occasionally from under his brow in stark contrast to the upright, dignified posture and composed manner of the Ambassador.
British establishment misunderstanding regional complexities, now where have we seen this before?
Israel is to blame for Oct 7, not Hamas.
This guy makes Piers Morgan seem unbiased. Next job - Talk TV/GB News Steve ?
Watched this man give a soft talk to a Israeli politician, didn't ask him if the terrorist organisation, headed by Netanyahu, should play any role in Israel.
Isn't the Likud party also being prosecuted by the ICC. Why are they still allowed to carry on and represent their people?

He has to face and talk to these idiots 😢😢😢😢
It must be so frustrating to talk to these people and not be able to tell them to F. Off
The presenter has a problem with Hmss but not with Natanyaho. I must be missing something .😢
The host is defending Israel at any cost, he is bypassing the root cause of the conflict which is illegal occupation and oppression.
"i have to stop you there" why? because he is making sense !
The people's with humanity of the whole World 🌎 stand and support Palestine 🇵🇸
🙏❤️from England
The interview is spot on about the PA and IDF collaboration
A balanced question would be; The attack on 7th October came as a result of the Israeli occupation. Then you should ask, " Hamas responded more aggressively than was justified". Then you would ask; Isn't Isreal's response, given they are the original aggressors is totally inhumane.
When the ambassador is asked whether Hamas can be allowed to continue to exist when its leaders have committed crimes, he should reply by saying: should the UK Labour Party be allowed to exist given that Tony Blair joined the invasion of Iraq and Starmer is supporting Israel's genocide? That would highlight the hypocrisy and colonial arrogance of the BBC's line of questioning.
How on earth would he use the word "lasted", when talking about the IDF atrocity in GAZA.
The presenter talks with a forked tongue … shame on the BBC. This issue has been going on since 1917 yet the BBC is inferring that this issue started on 7 October.
Fantastic performance.

“Public opinion is turning against the Palestinians”
What power does the Palestinians possess to change anything really? Does the world expect them to be well-behaved victims while they’re getting exterminated? For them to be slaughtered without making a noise?
I don't think there has ever been so much scrutiny on an indigenous people, on how they're resisting their colonizers.
@khaledkhaled4299 They are not indiginous. They came with Islam in the 7 century. Before that there were Jews. Hamas and Islamists like them who don't understand the meaning of the word compromise, have doomed the Palestinian people.
So the reporter only brought Zonlot in just to speack about some elegendary "leaked" email.
I take my hat off to the embassador for not loosing his focus .
What an arrogant presenter. As though he doesn’t know what is happening. He shows no compassion to the suffering and brutality imposed upon the Palestine people. Who is he to demand impossible answers from the Ambassador and why should he? UK should be part of the solution (independence for the state of Palestine) not the interrogator. Kudos to the Ambassador for maintaining his posture, dignity and composure.
Well spoken Ambassador.
The presenter knows very well what the history is with Palestine but he just can’t speak the facts
Hard talk has become disgusting
Palestinians need a new forward-looking leadership that can deliver them a state, peace, and prosperity. The current leadership with people like Zumlot have had their day because all they've delivered is war and suffering. They need leadership that can think out of the box and stop the suffering. All he is talking about is the destruction of Gaza, but he forgets that Hamas ruled Gaza and Hamas started Oct 7.
Hard Talk. The only thing about Hard Talk is it's hard to acknowledge the Palestinian suffering.
He has all the same talking points as Pierce Morgan. I wonder how all of the independent journalists all the sound the same?
Well done 👏👏
This Man Will spend his life in the jail
I feel like it would be difficult to negotiate a person like Husam ... In negotiations one must normally make also compromises on their views. But seems like Husam is not willing to make peace-compromises with Israel. Israel also has its will and will to defend its land. He must understand that also. Israel is not gonna give their current land to Palestina, that is totally unrealistic idea if somebody thinks that. Also, if you attack Israeli civilians, be sure Israel will defend its citizens with force.... that is normal for every country - they have a duty to defend themselves, REGARDLESS of the reason why Israel was attacked. He must understand that also.... so best to try to make some compromises that Israel security is also respected.
