I think that Glinds are simply magical creatures that are trained to be kais, as we saw Gowasu training Zamasu in Super. Also, they are definitely trying to form some connection between namekians and Glinds. We'll probably get more lore in the 2nd demon world.
I'll be very glad if Beerus and Champa turn up to be from the Demon Realm. It was always weird to me that they are twin brothers who ended being the gods of two different universes altogether.
Shin did say that demons could come and go without restriction before it was closed off. So Elder kai could've been chosen during that free era of the demon world

The real question is if Neko Majin are going to appear. I mean, Jango started in his own story before he became Dragon Ball Canon, so it might be the same for the Neko Majin. Maybe one even becomes Son Goku's disciple for a short time and start naming himself Neko Majin Z.

Shin did know about the existence of Beerus in the BOG movie, it was only in the anime version of BOG that he didn’t know Beerus. For some reason they just made Shin very incompetent in the Super anime.
I also think the Demon Realms are like proto-universes and Namekians and Glinds and maybe Yardrats share some common origin. Perhaps multiple Demon/Majin races were later taken to the main universes to evaluate their potential for divine duties by the Angels or other Deities. And the Glinds were the most capable divine taks and then all Kai positions are taken up by Glinds.
do like the connections the kais & namekians have to makai/love shin(like to see elder/king kai even if briefly in daima.) in this as dragonball retcon's it's own world a lot(like how it changes from makai before no different from how hell was changed from hfil so villains couldn't easily escape/makes towa a bad apple with how dabura is shown more reasonable.) with how toriyama writes it on his own passion or in buu's case can feel it was done in a burned out state/the universes in super feeling like a missed opportunity to explore(especially sadala.) that i could see the demon realm was a first draft(considering our version was from the devil getting sent there when he got corrupted power hungry for his britches could see something similar/love it to be tori-bot.) & seeing shin interact with his siblings excites me.

I'm so confused as to why this is confusing people... It was clear from episode 1 that this is a soft reboot. I've been saying the same since the first episode's review. Daima and Super are separate canons. Will Super integrate aspects of Daima in the future? Very likely, but we're not there yet.
I wonder if the lack or knowledge of Beerus from Shin is partly due to that war over the rights of Dragon Ball. They could be shying away from Super references because of how messy this all situation is. Maybe they even want to make their own separate Daima continuity to milk that so they can have a part of the franchise they can milk in peace. 🤔
Have you ever thought of creating a story like a multiversal tournament involving all your characters from your what ifs? It would be pretty interesting to see the interactions, and differences between their power levels compared to the original story.
I don't know if Namekians are purely "genderless" because I believe that back when Dragon Ball Super Super Hero came out there was this meme or something about Piccolo and Pan's teacher getting together and that made people talk about if Piccolo has what it takes for a physical relationship, and then there was a statement put out by Toriyama or someone in the Dragon Ball room that stated that Piccolo does has reproductive organs and that Namekains reproduction is the sexual organs that is used with the other reproductive organs in the Namekians's chest or mouth of whatever, and then they spit out the eggs to hack and that is how they reproduce, or something like that, but that is how I believe that they said that Namekians reproduce, so since they would have that reproductive system, then maybe they do have a gender, but Glinds/Kais are just genderless from being birthed from trees. I could be looking too deep into it, but tell me what you all think and if there is anything that I am wrong about.
This video made me think of this, but Daima does seem to mirror Journey to the West quite well, with Shin being the monk and Goku, Glorio, and Panzy his protectors. Also, keep in mind that in Buddhism in China there are three categories of sutras, what the monk journied to collect.

I still think Super was disconsidered, and serves only as source of some lore elements, just like GT serves only as source of some plot points and Xenoverse/Heroes serves as source of some key-characters (Glorio and Arinsu/Mira and Towa)

I like to imagine that Kais grow inside fruits then when the time is right the fruit decay/rot off of the new born.
Some of those fruits could bear demons harboring great power and eventually become Devil Fruits.
