I like Chichi being the whole catalyst for SSj2. It makes Gohan that much more focused. He's still got a bit of that "Toying around" in him, but it's not nearly as bad. I wonder if Gohan would see 18 come out and think "Huh. I wonder if I can do that again." And punch him in the gut so hard he spits out 17
I love the fact that you are trying to keep Sheron's connection to the Son family strong. I wonder what will happen now that it was Chi Chi being the one to help Gohan achieve SSJ2 with encouragement rather than having 16 sacrifice himself to give him a reality check
I am all for Android 16 being alive because he is definitely a character that could grow out to be one of the most impactful ones ever. Also Chi-Chi being the catalyst for SSJ2 Gohan means that maybe Gohan might actually have a choice in what he wishes to be since it’s his mother who encouraged him to go all out and fight. Regardless of that, I am always up to listen to these types of what ifs. Also putting more emotion into the character definitely sold it for me.

I have a rather unpleasant autoimmune disease (it's incurable, but it shouldn't cause any serious complications any time soon) and I was having some rather unpleasant camera work and biopsies done to check how things are doing. My mother is made of tough stuff though. This is her second minor heart attack, she seems more peeved about having to stop what she was doing to head into hospital than she is worried about the heart attack itself. They're keeping her in overnight to run more checks and keep an eye on her.
