as an avid KOF player from 98-2002, I can guarantee you’ll love this game. I loved this game way more than street fighter back then due to the sheer amount of variety it has. It’s crazy the amount of creativity they have on every character. It’s not as slow and calculated as SF, but I find it more fun. High level plays are really fun to watch as well. You should check out some of Xiaohai’s gameplay. He has been the undisputed KOF champion for years and could beat a lot of pro players using just one hand on a joystick controller.
it was fun to see Smug strugling for the back +circle back / foward+circle foward/ circle back + circle foward, etc...moves and saying "this character" for Shermie, Yashiro and Chris. Then I realized that, if Smug is 25, he was 1 yr in 97, at the pinnacle of these characters and SNK in general. Yeah, FGC is getting old, and we cant obligate "youngers" (25 yrs anb below lol) to have all the references 😂. But is good see thm willing to know it 😂😂

Iori has been my character from '97 from 1998! It would be great see what you can do with him! I used to rock my Dolce&Gabbana shirts under my jacket just because I could and and also for the look. Shout out to my man Undundre, and Ryan Hart who I was I was introduced to through him! Iori is the best!
