Two of the greats, together on the same video! These remarkable athletes are also technically skilled, take a portion of their life force to undertake the filming efforts while they are out on their world class challenges, laying down world class athletic performances, capturing the important moments in their adventures. Kerry's films make me feel like I am actually there running along with him. Gritty, raw, and real. Jeff's videos are more scenic, crafted, and polished. Both styles are compelling.
Happy to hear that you liked having both of us in one video. I have so much respect for Jeff and his production quality - and ability to crank long distances.
I’ve been binge watching all things ultra while training for a marathon and maybe a 50k in December. Thank you guys for all the great footage you share. I love it all.
Very nice chat. If the target audience was those guys that known what a 150h race is, that was perfect. Sometime I hear podcast about ultra marathon and I get bored after few minutes hearing about mental, gear and incredible stuff that mostly doesn't apply at all and only for super human. Here I hear that running 200 miles is only a matter of taste and what impress is the time 1h:23' in half marathon and, for me, also the 37' in 10Km. It is only about passion and if it is a 5K or a 200 miles, it makes no difference. For a 200miles there are much more things to organize and plan and the reward is also much bigger, but there is no magic. For the preparation, I think, that the part about watching previous video about the race is missed and for me is important. Thank you very much for sharing it.
Kerry it was you and your Fat Dog video that inspired me to get into ultra running....and later into filming my ultra experiences. Thank you so much for introducing me to this passion!
Missed this show Boys... love you both. I've been watching your channels. And you have been an inspiration to me to go out and do some over fastpacking adventures. It started with a 30k track run around an island and then I learned I needed a better backpack. Then I went out and did a 50k fastpack run, ended up with cramp :-D and walking the last 5-7k. I learned that I needed to focus on my food/nutrition (energy in). I then did this weekend a fastpack to do 40k and it went ok. Still having a hard time getting the correct amount of fluid and nutrition into my body while running and getting the correct amount with me in the pack. Please keep up the good work. //David Johansson from Sweden.
Good for you experimenting with everything, David. It is so pleasing to know that you are getting out there and figuring things out. Experience is often personal, and you are acquiring it for sure. Thanks for your patronage.
Great interview Kerry! The shirt “slide show” was cracking me up... had this on in the background while doing some chores and you looked different each time I checked back
Thanks guys, really enjoyed the chat and learned quite a bit from you both!
Our pleasure!

That is funny, Evan.
Great stuff love more lives !
Thanks Maui Swift.
The “Jordan Trail” is more like the Jordan gpx track ive heard - getting lost is par for the course 😆
Yes, I would anticipate a good bit of route finding would be involved. Part of the fun/story.
