    The last object is a 'page turner', for turning newspaper pages and preventing ink getting on your hands.

      If you are prone to having an upset stomach smelling newspaper ink will calm it, similar to ginger.
      Kindle sniffing might not work.......

    My grandmother had an antique newspaper page turner that looked a lot like that except hers had naval style decoration carved into it, to remind her of my grandfather, who was in the British Navy. Her's was from around 1900.
    Back in the day when newspapers where much larger than they were now, it wasn't unusual for the edges of some pages to have not been cut apart, so the page turner also worked as a paper knife to slit the pages open along the fold on the outer edge of the newspaper.

    File is derived from the old practice of sticking important pieces of parchment, velum and paper on a spindle, and then stringing them together on a filament of gut or string after a given period of time, such as a calendar year.

    It's a page turner.

    It looks like a lefse turner. My grandma used one to flip over the thin sheets of potato that were cooking on a flat grill. It might not be that but that’s what my grandmother’s looked like.

    last item could be a "distaff" for holding fleece while hand spinning wool or flax

    Last item maybe a busk (also spelled busque) for the front of a "lady's" corset

    Last item could also be a lefse turning stick.

    I think the last item is an antique laundry paddle.

    If the last item was longer I'd say it was a lefse flipping stick, but it's too short and stubby for that.

    I can't imagine an alcoholic being so proud of their alcohol consumption that they save their wine corks as cherished souvenirs. Do they also save their cigarette butts?

    • @capers72424
      @capers72424 22 дня назад +4

      LOL! My friend works at a restaurant and collects champagne corks from the bottles opened there. Your assumption that one person consumed all that wine fast enough for them to be considered an alcoholic is likely not anywhere near true.

      They can actually be quite useful, and many ppl simply use them to decorate.

      Considering you can tell great, vintage wines from their cork; it displays their good taste and deep pockets. Neither of which you have if your comment is anything to go by.
