Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop……. (fart noise). The 12 year me really appreciated that! And I appreciate you backing the blue!! Well done video!! Never disappoints!!
One of the best woodworkers on RUclips imo.nice job.I happen to be a police supporter.Thank you to your friend for his bravery and keeping us safe. And thanks for the videos I always get a good chuckle
As an LEO I will tell you how much something like this will be appreciated. Having some place to put your gear is awesome. Hangers just don't work. Tell your friend to stay safe.
This is beautiful! I could use something like this for my "mom" gear...a place for my phone, my purse, my planner, a locked box for my chocolate...that sort of thing.
I enjoy your builds! I have been a watcher of your videos for several years and enjoy them. Your skill level has great improved and I get a kick out of the outtakes. I'm glad the to see the men in blue are getting something them can be proud of. Thanks for watching out for them.
Great video, it's great that you don't play any weird music, but actually talk us through you process. I wished you provided the total amount of hours you put into it.
WOW! The craftmanship n this piece is fabulous. The attention to detail is phenomenal. Coming from a fellow LEO this is one great piece. As always you video is entertaining as well. Thanks!
You sir are an evil genius!! This is beautiful work, that flag is amazing. As a retired law enforcement officer I can tell you this gift for your friend will definitely be appreciated!!
That issue with the CNC in the outtakes, if your collet isn't tight enough (or is worn) your bit can slip down during the cut and drag through your work when it returns back to home. I disable the return-to-home feature unless its necessary for a multi-sided job or something.
That sounds like a possibility, but I've had that happen in the middle of the run, and the collet was tight. It was running the right path, but too low. Sometimes they have a brain fart. Reran it and worked fine.
I didn't fully tighten the collet. When things heated up from the long carve, the collet expanded and the bit slide down. It was my own dumb fault, not the machine.
@@FishersShop Ah, ok. I would rather have that happen than a program glitch. At least you were able to fix it. I’ve had more than a couple times that it’s just taken off, either in the wrong direction or wrong height. It’s bad enough to have to get another board, but when you don’t know if it’s going to do it again is a nerve racking feeling.🥺
During deployments, we often made something similar with just 4x4 and 2x4 to stow helmets, armor etc. This is a whole new level! Walnut always finishes so nice! Great Project
Thanks for your service Ethan! Thanks for the vid Fisher! When I was in the Air Force I thought about making a stand for my uniform....but never got around to it. Now I wear sweat pant shorts, t-shirt, and flipflops all day. LOL
@@DIYBuilds I've shamed you on your channel several times, but then you rolled over here in sneakers for more abuse.....🤣😂🤣 Give us those sandal shots, it's your staple in life!
That came out great! Love the outtakes. I've been enjoying you guy's "We Built a Thing" podcast. Started at the beginning, trying not to skip any episodes. Thank you guys for 'keeping it clean'.
17:05-17:15 needs to be a tiktok. The work people could do with that audio alone… Stunning quality my dude. Well done 🤣🤦♀️ But also, your woodworking craftsmanship really shined through in this video. I love the use of the corbels to help support and hide the pocket hole! Very clever and dare I say… chic!? Awesome stuff Drew.
Nice piece, Drew~! My son is currently going thru the police academy, so this might be something nice for him when he graduates. Great idea~! Gotta find me some of those steel-toed shop sandals~!! LOL
My first thought was to pass on the video as I don't see this in my project list. Then I thought I can still get some woodworking tips, and your nickname should be WoodE - the E is for Entertainment as your videos always include that factor and this one did not disappoint. Thank you for kicking off my weekend. Now - off to my neighbors house...
He’s a comedian working so hard this man deserves more than what he gets
Your wooodwork is great, but your humor, is AMAZING. I always crack-up with your videos, way before your outtakes. Great job man!!
Thank you very much!
Great job... I get the biggest kick out of your humor! I have to listen really well to catch all of them..classic
Glad you like them!
"I was only going one way!" Classic! Too funny and gorgeous work.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Tops!
Haha. :)
It is my aim to binge watch all of your videos until I have learned your ways of woodworking and dad jokes. My children will thank you after I’m gone.
Tell your kids that a joke doesn't become a Dad joke until it becomes "apparent".
All these years and you would think your Neighbor would have moved by now! lol nice work my friend!
Thanks 👍
Another great work of art!! Everything stops when I see your post! Please tell your friend that I thank him for his service!!

GREAT project Drew. A project that is very well deserved! !! !!!

Loving the steel toed safety shoes. I have the same ones...and I still have all...well...most ...err...okay, three...of my toes left!
Beautiful job Drew. I know he will cherish this gear stand for a long time. I bet you get other requests from his fellow officers.
Thanks Jeff! :)
