One of my absolute favorite and most nostalgic themes ever. All the transformations and modularity in this theme is something rarely seen in space following it. The ability to have multiple vehicles in one set or have a vehicle transform into a new vehicle. I really miss that element of play.
This line was like a mix of Ice Planet, Life on Mars, and Rock Raiders/Power Miners. I liked how the human vehicles were (almost) all modified mining vehicles, and the Aliens had interesting lore tying to Life on Mars. Also on the Mothership, the side builds can become walkers, and I liked to detach the turrets to make speeder bikes!
I used to be the Life on Mars kid, and then when this theme came out I was excited to get new pipes for the air system, but the aliens were just so ungly, I didn't really care much for it. The Life on Mars Aliens had so much Character. From that Series I had the big Mining vehicle, I loved the design.

I bought a couple of these sets on eBay 2 to be exact and they both came with the boxes I wish Lego still made sets like these
