This video made me tear up.. I’m going into the air force myself in two weeks. I’ll be away from my husband for about six months, I’m getting sad about it but I’m excited for our future.
My husband also had to leave for his Tech school right away after his BMT graduation so we also had to be away for about 5 months which was hard by the time😢 but it will pass quickly and you should definitely be excited for your future in the Air Force! Welcome to the USAF Family ❤️❤️
Why are there are so many Corporals graduating??? Is that common? Why was the Drill Instructor marching backwards? Why was that Woman Airman without a cover and why was she saluting while uncovered? How can they have so many ribbons already? Where are their Marksmanship Badges? Sorry about all the questions but my grandnephew will be joining the Air Force in the summer and I know nothing about it. Our family tradition is Marine Corps.
Hello, to answer your questions! Yes, it is common for that many Airman graduating. “Drill instructors” are called “MTI” in the Air force and they are marching backwards to take control of the flight and making sure everyone is in cadence. As far as the women Airman who had no cover on, she probably lost it due to the wind that day and had to compose military bearing throughout the whole ceremony. Ribbon wise, Airman are giving one for graduating basic training and one nation defense. These are mandatory ribbons given out but some have green ribbons as well which are the “Marksmanship” ribbon. If you have more questions about the Air Force or anything I didn’t cover feel free to reach out and your grandson is going to have a great experience joining the Air Force.
@@JJcouplee Thank you so much for the information. Air Force graduation looks completely different than graduation from Marine Corps recruit training. A grandnephew graduated in August and he had one ribbon and his Marksmanship Badge. The highest graduate rank was Private First Class (E-2) and there were only about 15 of them out of a 70 man platoon. Again, thanks for the info and give your husband my best wishes for a great career!
