I hope one day they give us a full record like this. Long, expansive, experimental tracks that just evolve instead of having a “chorus” to keep going back to. Underoath’s best work is always the dark, moody stuff. Man, that would be such a special journey.

When I heard the first single I was convinced they were just baiting us, then when the second one dropped I became cautiously optimistic. Now it’s three in a row I’m finally allowing myself to believe this record could reach DTGL levels of epicness.

Every album has that one softer atmospheric/ambient deftones vibey track and this absolutely goes soo well for them. Underoath has always been great at adding those elements. Amazing song. Can’t wait to hear the rest of this album 💿

Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape; Casting Such a Thing Shadow; Too Bright to See, Too Loud to Hear...love those songs. I don't think they need more than one an album, they're good change of pace songs.

UNDEROATH literally SAVED ME! All the hard times, all the good times. I'll never get sick of these guys. I listen to Define the Great Line probably 2-3 times a week front to back. I never get sick of it. So emotional and the only band that has ever really really really made me FEEL something. Love you guys and I'm so glad the Underoath we all know and love are back. Hoping to see you guys live in Minneapolis in March. 🤘

As a life long Underoath fan and growing up with their unique sound, I can say with full confidence that this is one of the best songs they have ever released. It’s truly a mix of their old and new but they do it in a way that makes it sound like nothing else out there. Underoath is back 🥲
The genius of Underoath, is that the songs get better the more you hear them!

I really, REALLY like how this song has gone from very beautifully ethereal with its sweet atmosphere before little by little it transcends into the horror and madness in the end.
I'm the kind of person who doesn't focus real well and I listen to heavy music to calm myself, just enjoy myself, or to process emotions.
This song was so satisfying to listen to because it just sounds so good with the different instrumentals, the electronic elements, the piano, the vocals, the lyrics, the ambience, the build up, it's so proggy feeling and I love it...it explains what words can't explain what's going on in my head rn and I don't know how to explain it but it's so weird I just listened to this song and said

This is my absolute favorite so far of the new Underoath Era. Kinda tired of every band trying to be an angsty pop band with formulaic song structures. This is absolutely where it's at for me.
To many backing tracks as intros with the one beat dance style
It’s like Underoath died: then was reincarnated into a wise darkness of perspective, raw, and uncut, a man brought to his last rope of his mental strength, questioning his mind, yet loves his darkness of disgust, but still can see the light above him from the tunnel, but questions if he will ever reach it, or if he wants too…the true internal struggle we are dealt with is real….

Listened to the full album, all the way through, and just like ‘Numb’, this hits different now that I’ve listened to the entire album, and ending it with this is just beautiful. The ending to such an epic story told through this record. Spencer, Aaron, Tim, Chris, Grant, and James…. thank y’all. This album is forever gonna be one that I hold close to me. The story of my life was somehow told by you guys on this piece of amazing work. Seriously, my hats are off to you guys! The ending makes me cry. “Every bloodline has its own start” and “I’ll keep on climbing until I’m skin and bones”. The “bloodline” line may come off as random, but it makes me wonder about who my ancestors were and what I’ll leave behind. Idk why it gets me so emotional.

So far they are 3/3. I couldn't be more impressed with the way this record is shaping up after the last album, which was just ok in my opinion. This track though... major Team Sleep vibes, killer. Can't wait for this album/tour.

Absolutely loving this! Their progression over the years has been fantastic to see. It's crazy to think about the fact that I've been listening to them for almost 20 years. Time flies! I really hope they do a tour with Loathe sometime.

@@Fire-Toolz Funny you say that because there’s a band called Palms that’s the guitarist, bassist, and drummer of Isis with Chino on vocals. They only put out one album but it’s so good, really recommend checking it out if you haven’t.

I love this whole sound. Everything from this album is fresh while still pulling some influence from LITSOS and Disambiguation. My two favorite UO albums of all time. Spencer's vocals are fucking INSANE, and never cease to amaze me. I would like to hear Aaron's pop sensibilities from TOCS and DTGL come through a bit more, but that's just anecdotal at best. Incredible album and song fellas. I love you guys SO FUCKING MUCH you don't even know. Saw y'all at Warped Tour in 08 and never had an opportunity to catch a dedicated tour. Can't wait to see you next time you are in Southern CA. ❤️

Escucho Underoath desde que tengo, increíblemente, 10 años, aproximadamente desde 2009-2010. Me alegra mucho escuchar siempre nuevo material aunque no sea tan fanático de la nueva era de la banda. Esta vez se sobrepasaron muchísimo; estos siete minutos de música ambiental, experimentalismo y atmósfera realmente me encantaron. Ojalá duren por muchos años más.
Realmente son artistas que se supieron mantener vigentes no usualmente hablando, sino que supieron encontrar en cada disco un sonido que siempre calza.

This song gives me a strong White Pony era Deftones vibe. Unbelievably great song. Probably one of Underoath's top 5 songs up to this day.

In 2005 my girlfriend and her friend and I got forgotten outside of the taste of chaos tour by our ride in Portland Maine and the drummer from the used let us back in to the venue because it was October and freezing and we would have probably died outside but I got autographs from underoath on my ticket from that night and still have them to that day. I was bummed because I missed their set but I got to meet all of them afterwards! Glad you guys are still rocking and making new tunes. Much love and hope to see you in Maine again soon 🤘
