- So I have decided that The First Descendant is pretty much just Warframe. Every character has a Warframe character counterpart. Now the abilities aren't 1 for 1, they just so happen to have every character as a generic Warframe character trope. Then many have the same or similar abilities to Warfarmes. Fun game, but they definitely copied some homework.

Warframe: Look at our sexy robot characters, and feel great sadness when you die as then the first few times. Get to know them as their own characters as lore is added.
The First Descendant: Look at our sexy human characters and get mad at them for being boring stupid humans. Don't care about them as much because they talk about their lives instead of letting you find out for yourself, and get mad because they won't quit their "quirky" dialogue... That, or the jiggle physics in SFM make more canon sense. Who knows.
(Disclaimer: I haven't played The First Descendant, so I don't know how accurate my claims are or if I'm being mean for the sake of it. Please let me know what's the case on this front.)
The tank is closer to Frost in terms of abilities than Rhino

And it kinda plays like a frost Fram without the ice... Has a dome etc... So far The First Descendant is pretty fun... I've enjoyed it. Probably put in around 12 hrs or so of play time... 🤷🏻♂️

Also to mention that warframes are to be seen as mass production weaponry and not actual people (even though DE writers and some fans tend to ignore this fact), they're not characters and most personality defining characteristics derived from their original users or the people they were built upon.
Now the characters from this game seem to be their own person with stories and motivations, making them more individual than warframes are supposed to be
Im hyped for this personally, a new game that has operators like apex but has pve game modes like warframe, ive always wanted to play apex but i hate battle royale modes and games that only have pvp game modes and i love warframe but ive gotten tired of the fleshy hellscape aesthetic (and kuva fortress and invested tilesets have been pissing me off recently) also my drifters been looking bland since they have a lack of customizations for them, now i get cool looking human characters without having to play a battleroyale, only thing that could ruin it for me is a battlepass and a diablo immortal level cash shop

its about that the Charakters and their skills are nearly 1-1 the same.
Charakters are a 95% copie, only names changed.

I wanted to verify and actually watched someone make a rundown of what every character does.
Those characters are nothing like each other. The only thing I would agree on is that Ajax has frost globe and that speed electricity dude is a mixture of volt and gauss. Both have aoe electric ability, and both have speed up ability, and all of them have a meter that increases some efficiency by moving
The phrase "Pretty much" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here

Played both games, descendent maybe similar to warframe in its leveling system, but other than that - it’s a completely different game. Much better than warframe in my opinion.
Saying they are the same game is like saying Cod, CS go and battlefield are the same game, an empty claim... Can’t wait for the first descendent to go out!!
If you have basically every element or thing as a character in your game then it quickly looks like everyone is copying.

Yeah I think what ruins this game for me though is the fact it's character/hero shooter aspect, like warframes the only game that cam really get away with it cause the frames are just machines controlled by the operators so there is logically going to be multiple of them but when there's like multiple of the exact same identical human character it just kills the vibe that I'm my own person in the world, to sum it up with the warframes they're kinda like a shell or... frame if you will I can inject my personality into and feel like it's part MY character in the universe while with this I'm just using some guy with his own look and personality pre established before I even get my hands on the game
I agree, its easier to immerse yourself in the warframe universe as the operator and the warframes as your tools.
@@dodgerpatrol exactly, probably a petty critique on my part but it matters to me at the least, nothing wrong if people like this game, it's just not for me which is a shame cause the gameplay actually doesn't look that bad, the graphics look pretty good too, it's probably good I am so particular though cause then I'd have too many games I'm into and not enough time to play them all, I'm a musician as well so I'd even less time for that haha

When I saw the gameplay, My first thought was that this is just Warframe 2😂
We have 51 frames, several of them using the same element or skillset, just a little different (Volt and Gauss are fast bois or Ember and Nezha being fire users). It will be hard to look at a fantasy game and don't draw paralells with it.

Mach rush is basically saints row the thirds speedster super power.
One thing I gotta mention that me and my friends (which have played both games) mentioned as a good point, and one of the reasons he actually prefers Descendant, is that you meet almost all of the currently available characters as npc's that you cooperate with throughout the story, and each with their distinctive personalities.
Other honorable mentions is that descendant has (in my friend's opinoon) a less confusing story, and has less paywalls.
