Unknown Man I was about to say that I heavily disagree, but watching more, I can heavily agree. The nerf made him look so much cooler
The only thing about him that was nerfed is his spin dash, basically everything else was buffed.

Sonic Homming Attack is AMAZING in this game. Use and abuse of this.

I use it to make k rools and the Belmont’s want to kill themselves
But the move can be immediately activated, catches the opponent guard off.
it’s really great when it’s used right. when kirby’s copy it and try to use it off stage and just launch themselves off the screen is always a treat

For anyone trying to learn from this, sonic is not ideal for spiking, sonic and greninja have very similar down specials, however sonic goes at an angle in the direction he is facing, so if you miss, you SD, upspecial is less reliable but a hell of a lot safer as the spring can push your opponent down.
People acting like Ken's Sonic wasn't fun to watch in Smash 4, Ken was the most interesting sonic in that game too, he didn't play like Wrath ffs.
Wait a second down air is now called down tilt thank goodness I know now
The fact that you can dash dance in Ultimate makes Sonic so much better. Def is higher tier just due to that. SONIC SPEED!

I love how patient zackrsy, the guy literally stands still for a good moment to see how they are going to attack

Sonic will be an interesting character to follow. I wont to see how far the Smash 4 players that stuck with Sonic, and the new players, will develop Sonic in this game
That was a good set. It felt like each game could've gone either way, and was close the whole time. And that last game last stock was tense! Real fun to watch.

Wolf is getting slept on by most of the community. He's easily higher-mid tier.
I wouldn't call it a counterpick tbh, its mostly an even match up but definitely not a counterpick
Wolf's actually pretty good if you can memorize distance on where his attacks take you. The only problem is that he's awful against Chrom, who will most likely be used by many in tournaments (as stated by ZeRo).

Feel like he's more predictable since his mixup game took a big hit. Though the faster speed and better homing attack, and just overall speed of the game being faster definitely makes sonic a threat
@@tylerwilson1024 He did lose a lot of options out of spindash, but now his previously unavailable options in sm4sh are usable.

I'm guessing higher side of mid tier. He's good, but he has some pretty major weaknesses too.

@@Clear256 He's really not. Fast faller, so he's combo food, his recovery is linear, predictable, and gimped pretty easily. All his kill options are slow, ans he has no kill combos. He has good stats as far as speed goes, but he will never be better than B tier (so like, higher side of Mid tier.)

What a great set! Unfortunately for Ken, he missed multiple opportunities to drop a spring on Zackray while he was recovering in game 3. If he dropped a spring on him at 11:36 for example, that likely would have been the game.
Cool yeah I agree. The spring is very helpful in Sonic’s gameplay
I just started learning Sonic, but could anyone explain when is the best time that Ken uses the Spin Charge over Spin Dash?

Hardly, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
BlitzBlue X depends after you connect side b and then jump for an up air and it could kill at 90-100% but everyone would expect it

sonic player should of won . made careless mistakes on the the homing attack near the edge and made a risk going for the up kick air. only time you go for the up air kick is when you trick them.

This proves even the worst/biggest nerfed characters in the game can see the light day of day in competitive play. Although, we can all probably agree that using broken characters or using dirty tactics in the game is playing dirty and drains the fun out of it.

Blank Blank the only thing that was truly nerfed was spin dash (and even then it’s still a decent move) mostly everything else was buffed. I’d say he would be bottom of high tier if I had to make a tier list.

@@SwagMaster824 you kidding me? It's one of his best moves now. Have you not been paying attention to how KEN was using it? I use homing attack a lot more and it's amazing. Very fast and can be used out of spin dash.
