    i though for the air pot you have to use a strike plate placed 2/3 on the top of the pot?

      Thats only if you are ALSO checking for density. If you are just doing the pressure you can use the strike off bar.

    What if the petcocks are clogged

      If the petcocks are clogged, you want to make sure they are unclogged prior to running the test. That can be achieved by taking the cover off and either shooting water through each of the petcocks or if some dried concrete is stuck in there, using some type of a small tool to dislodge it.
