Which player should Zeke break down next? 🤔
ja morant
Ant Edwards
Klay and Allan Houston
De'Aaron Fox
LaMelo ball
Much respect for this. Anytime I see people honor him it brings me joy
Agreed
Same here, friends.
Damn straight Isiah! Mahmoud is one of if not THE most underrated players let alone shooters in NBA history. Great breakdown of his shooting!
Also one of the most humble. Already will be one of my idol and a Hero to me. I met him and HE thanked ME.... just a calm, humble, admirable individual
For sure and Dame definitely has a similar demeanor to him as well especially when they take crazy shots that no can believe they both stay calm and just continue to play the game
Underrated series, you really get the best perspective through comparisons and a believable from actual player. Gives the respect to the past.
When i watch his performance i cried so many times; and i still do.
He deserve better 😢..
Much respect my brother 🌹
Isaiah and magic both genuinely light up when talking basketball 🏀 especially when talking about other players . They love the game and have no hate in them for players . Nothing but respect ✊🏽.
Thomas has no hatred for anyone other than every team he pushed the Pistons to injure on a nightly basis, but now wants to pretend to be a decent human? Gtfoh
@@DAyoMusicOfficial that’s how the game was played back then. So he’s the reason bill Laimbeer and Rick Mchorn and Dennis Rodman were physical ? We’re not THEY called bad boys ? U sound stupid . What about the Knicks and the pacers and even the Celtics! So you say someone isn’t a decent human being bc they played basketball 🏀 in a physical way ?
Man please !
@@StandingInTheGAPMinistriesInc physical and purposely dirty as shit are 2 different things.
Finally someone speaks on the greatness of M.A.R
Aka Chris Jackson. . phenomenal baller who was unfairly exiled from the NBA.
So why u deadname him then?
@@angusmatheson8906 l wrote aka which is an acronym for "Also known as" Chris Jackson so people may identify him who may remember Chris Jackson from his LSU days before he changed his name due to his religious conversion to Islam. Some folks may not know Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf but may remember Chris Jackson. Be easy my man...have a blessed holiday season.
@@jusliving7977 Him changing his name and what he stood for, made all the news back then, so they know it's him. Just like Muhammed Ali & Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Respect 🙏 Isiah for sure mohamoud was my favorite player to watch he had big games
Chris Jackson was a baaaad man. I remember an LSU vs Tennessee game when him and Allan Houston both had 40+ points.
I use to steal news papers on the way to school when I was young just to see his stats from LSU...everything not on tv back then..I idolized him...fast forward 30 years later..I was dating his baby sitter from Gulfport ms....small world 😄
His name is Mahmoud Abdul Rauf.
As a 12 yr old I met Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf. I found out what floor the Denver Nuggets were on, walked down it hoping to bump into one of them, and Abdul-Rauf opened the door right as I walked by. He was putting a tray off food that the hotel had not removed that was left over from the previous guests. I was like, "wow, that's messed up. Are you going to call anybody?" And he's like, "no, it's not a big deal."
Dam shame the NBA ran him out of the league!
He was Colin Kaepernick back in the day!
Nothing has change in this racist country!
He was the best shooter I ever saw in person. I'll never forget the time he, Shaq, and Stanley Roberts visited Rupp and Pitino's Bombinos eked out a win.
Followed his career since his freshman year at LSU. He had games where he would literally score LSU’s last 16 or 18 points of a game. He was unstoppable and if he was in his flow he was unguardable!
Good stuff!
Isiah “Let it be known” Thomas
I used to try to pattern my game after him when I was in HS. One of my favorite games is him going crazy against Vanderbilt and Scott Droud.
More of this series please
I love these breakdowns. There were a lot of players that got over shadowed during the 80s and 90s because of stars. Glad to see them get recognition. There are players in the Association today, that I will tell my grand kids about and they will have no clue who they were. Definitely like Brandon Roy and Danny Granger
Already was watching him and he already had my respect
Thanks for honoring him
Abdul-Rauf is the second player that Thomas has reviewed that was blackballed. The first was Craig Hodges.
Abdul rauf was a bucket
Big facts
Isiah Thomas looking like OJ
My favorite NBA player Abdul Rauf ( Denver Nuggets)
Didn’t he get blackballed over the national anthem?
@@jay_1212 yup
He had a quick shot too 😳 😳
Mahmoud abdul rauf is cold
Thank you
isiah always have legit comparisons not based off popularity.
BIG FACTS!!
he also also dropped 32 on Jordan's Bulls and a dub.
Bulls were on 18 game winning streak, playing at mile high, after getting every teams best effort all year. It would be much harder for him to do that in the playoffs against the bulls. Great game from him though.
Nice
Def agree on this...
Abdul was awesome player but nba racism hurt him in some point
valid comparison
Kyrie is the modern day kyrie
Rod strickland
I see more of Steph Curry then Damian
I see both.
But he’s more similar to dame due to their size.
Not consistent enough from deep just like Damian. Great shooters but you don't expect either to shoot near 40% from deep. Curry has the skill set of Price which makes sense, His dad played with Price and Price was his assistant coach also include that Price change the point guard position in that Era.
Damian Lillard from Mahmoud Abdul Raul then Jerry West.
Great comparison. I’ve always felt the Steph Curry comparison was a lazy take.
Ant Edwards plz
Mahmoud was Kapernick before Kapernick; he wouldn't salute the flag and the League blackballed him.
Facts
Yes many people were cornballs before Kap.
💯
Then it's a good thing that he is not that famous. If you live in country then salute the flag or get f outta there.
@@kedrprao If you live in a country known for oppression you don't support that...if you have morals
Rauf > Lillard
Zeke= click.
Steph Curry is more like a copycat of Mahmoud, than Lillard.
Nah bruh.
Hell nah Zeke. Steph mirrors Mahmoud Abdul Rauf the most as both Phil Jackson and Shaq stated this.
Naw Steph is something else I can’t think of a comparison off the top of my head maybe Pistol pete
I think the comparison was perfect with Lillard
He didn't say ONLY Dame reminds him of Mahmoud
Love Zeke honoring Mahmood but the only comparison he has with Lilliard is shooting 3's off the dribble. Mahmood wasn't pulling up from 30 or taking step back 3's. This is way I hate comparing players from different eras. I doubt if Mahmood even averaged 20 in a season before. Lilliard is a different monster all together. But outside of the Lilliard comparisons Zeke is spot on. Peace
@We Are A Beautiful People I know what Zeke is comparing man, this isn't rocket science. And you just went on a rant explaining EXACTLY why it's stupid to compare players from different eras 😂. Appreciate you making my point crystal clear
@We Are A Beautiful People Not about right or wrong. Comparing players from different eras is stupid. Like I said before, everything Zeke said is on point except for the Lilliard comparison. I watched Mahmood career and nothing about his game reminds me of Lillard's except for shooting off the dribble, period. I know it's the thing for NBA players to CONSTANTLY compare players from different eras but Zeke is trying to hard on this one. Peace
Mahmoud was a far more superior player than Damian Lillard. You can compare Steph Curry to Mahmoud. He copied his whole style.
@@Minolla Smh... NBA fans are some weirdos. Always romanticizing the past and diminishing the current era. It's childish and illogical. Mohmoud doesn't do one thing better than Lillard. Not ONE. You prolly wasn't even old enough to have see him play 🤣. Worst fans ever
@@silverblackguerrilla3581 I'm a fan of nothing. I don't idolise people. I only worship God. However, I do watch and know basketball. Mahmoud was a phenomenal player, who got boycott by the NBA. You're a oldhead with zero knowledge.
Thanks stephn curry before curry
Lillard is more closer to billups than Mahmoud .. isiah tweaking
Mahmound is stephn curry
Naw IT on the real I need what you smoking 💨 ⛽️ 🧢
Damn how old is Zeke lol
He up there lol
That's part of life son, you get old...if you are lucky
Lillard struggling this year Harden style
“Remind you of someone who did it just as well”
“Steph Curry?”
First
Not even close lol
Yeah Dame isn’t on MAR’s level, friend.
Was he as athletic as lillard tho?
He was even more athletic than dame.
Go check his highlights in college .
@@yvans. fasho, I’ve only seen like one clip of him dunking in the league so imma have to check that 🙌🏾
Abdul-Rauf > Lillard
“Congrats to Everyone who is early and found this comment”
Your everywhere frfr
Not even close. Lillard has waaaaaay longer range, better technique and a much better resume. Can Thomas stop pretending his opinion is anything relative to reality? How did his head coaching career go?
How many games did you start in the NBA? How many all star teams? Get back on the sofa and have a cold one, son.
D.Ayo’s brain doesn’t work. Embarrassing.
Don't waste a good beverage on a guy who's choking on his MAGA hat!!
@@josegunter2217 not sure how this is relevant
@@josegunter2217 wait...did this dude named GUNTER just refer to some sort of unrelated racism while sounding like he served as the head dickhead of naziism?
This dude is nowhere near dame level lmao
Said who?? You who didnt even played in nba..against isiah thomas who was a legend in nba...your opinion against zeke opinion..i will believe isiahs take
Nice
