    I like that you show us the backs of the IEM's. Comfort is my priority when assessing a potential new pair. After all you might have the 'best sounding' IEM's in the world. But if you can't bear to wear them because they're uncomfortable they become merely a trinket.

    The angle of the EW200's nozzles is a bit of an issue for me as well. The EW200 is too bright and sibilant for me in the upper midrange and treble. I tamed the brightness by adding 4.8 mm diameter 300 mesh filters which are included in the Simgot EA500 tuning kit. I simply installed the mesh filter directly on top of the existing dust filters within the nozzles.

    I bought this IEM to replace my Fiio FH1s, which I also purchased after watching your video three years ago. It was mostly user error that destroyed my Fiio-it could have lasted another three years if I hadn’t stupidly and aggressively cleaned the nozzle, ripping off the balanced armature driver, lol.
    I was slightly worried about the nozzle angle you mentioned, but it’s not a problem for my ears. I'm not a proper audio enthusiast, so I can't describe the sound in detail, but what I immediately noticed is that the bass is less pronounced compared to my Fiio. That said, it's still plenty for me, so I’m not complaining. I’m not a basshead-as long as it’s there, I’m okay.
    I honestly like the vocals on the Simgot more than on the Fiio. They’re more… clear? I’m not sure how to describe it, but they feel more distinct. As for the treble, it’s definitely on the bright side, just as I’ve read in many reviews. But I already EQ’d my Fiio to add a bit of treble, so this works perfectly for me. I’ve only had these for 24 hours, but overall, it's a good replacement for my Fiio since the sound signature isn’t drastically different. I hope it will last for many years to come.
    Addendum: This is just unnecessary detail for anyone who wants to read. The Fiio is still okay to listen to as long as I "turn off my brain". However, the moment I focus on the music, I immediately notice the dissonance between my ears. The right side has fewer sparkles in the high end, which is really annoying. As I mentioned earlier, I likely ripped the balanced armature wire when the nozzle came off.
    In conclusion, I’ve personally confirmed in the worst way possible that the balanced armature driver was indeed functional and not just an accessory for the sake of marketing.

      @TheHonestAudiophile Yeah, it’s a big bummer. The story is actually worse than that. The FH1s just came back from the repair shop to replace the left 2-pin connector because it was cracked open. I’m a bit of a clean freak, and let’s just say I got a bit too enthusiastic when cleaning it after receiving the IEM 😣.

    • @TheHonestAudiophile

      Both the Hype 4 and B3 will be massive upgrades to the EW200 in technical abilities, the Hype 4 has more of a fun factor than the B3 which leans analytical. Thank you for showing the back of the IEM! I've small ears, and though the nozzle being roughly 6mm is fine for my ears, that raised notch is likely going to be a problem for me, as well as that angled nozzle. Not sure how I'll handle the brighter sound signature. Waffling over the Wan'er but the shell is a tad too large for comfort. How would this compare to the Kefine Delci? • @TheHonestAudiophile

    • @calvinyip364
      @calvinyip364 Год назад

      @@TheHonestAudiophile I just received the galelio tested them about 1 hour. This is my first IEM. And I can say it didnt wow me. Cause I own hd58x. Hd600 etc headphone.
      But with that said. I realize that the eartips need to seal properly and it need to insert into the ear quite deep. And the volume for me need to be turn up in order to get a good sound. If the volume too low it sounds like it's lacking.
      After I did that. I sound from so so to quite good.
      I would say the sound stage is quite decent Imo. It's outside my head , the vocals is almost on par with my hd58x same goes for resolution. So yeah. I paid rm369 for the galelio and rm1k for hd58x. I would say it's quite impressive.
      Bass is decent , mids and vocals not bad. All very smooth.

      @@TheHonestAudiophile imo it's ok. The pressure is ok. It's quite comfortable. But headphone is still more comfortable.
      But for an IEM for me it's quite expensive. I think it's worth the price. Quite premium , sound imo not bad quite smooth , and I do like the sound. But at super loud volume it gets distorted some sort.
      But the sound it's quite good like I listen to female vocals etc. they say the treble not enough or not extended enough etc. tbh I don't heard it ? It sounds awesome and female vocals sound good. And even if their voice is high and powerful It don't hurt my ears that's what I enjoy about them.
      Even the hd600 sometimes can hurt due to the high pitch.
      As for bass imo it's not bad. Sub bass too. And vocals sounds clear.
      Acoustic , kpop , piano sounds very good imo.
      The bass could be more punchy but over it's better than the hd600 bass. Sub bass also just so so. Overall ok. Worth it.
      I wonder how the zero red , s12pro or even the em6L compare to the galelio. I feel like all is balance and neutral even with the bass too. Soundstage is bigger than the hd58x and hd600.
      The imaging imo kinda poor. Just AVG only. Overall for the price not bad. And most importantly comfortable. Yesterday wore 1 hour + straight didn't feel ear itchy or pain .

      @@TheHonestAudiophile What would be an apt upgrade from Wan'er with the same sound signature under $50 ??
      I already have Galaxy Buds2 Pro. I was hoping to get an IEM which has better sounding than the buds2 pro.

      My variant didn't, I am not sure if you can purchase cable with mic or not. You could swap cables is you need mic. I don't use inline mic though.

    Safe to say simgot is not your favourite name on planet earth when it comes to earphones then,ea500 didn't do it for you either.😂😅Glad l did not jump on the bandwagon,40 dollars is still 40 dollars,for double the price one can get a very good earphones these days and be very satisfied...Cheers.

    Simgot ew200 vs Zero red

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  4 месяца назад

      Hmmm been a while since I've heard either, since the reviews. If memory serves me correctly, the EW200 is bassier and warmer and the Zero Red isnt as warm and has slightly better details and resolution.

      @@TheHonestAudiophile You said ew200 more airy and zero red lacks airy sound. What does it mean ?

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  4 месяца назад +1

      Airy - Reproducing audio in a free, open and fresh manner around instruments and vocalists. Airy is not restricted only to the upper treble frequencies but is audible in the entire frequency range.

      The upper mids and treble are elevated. I find them to be borderline bright and hot, very vivid. I prefer other IEM, Tangzu Wan'er, but for a Simgot the EW200 is good.

  • @kikiwonwon29
    @kikiwonwon29 4 месяца назад +1

    Thing I didn't know when I bought this is the midrange seems recessed & super thin. I must say even earbud like Nicehck EB2S win ew200 at midrange. I normally watch video streaming game on RUclips or watch movie, the midrange too weak make my feeling in game or stream not really good. Even super cheap iem better than ew200. I really disappointed at ew200 even though I am not a basshead. Except the solid build on this, everybody kinda overrated this ew200 so much.
