Ikr 😂 How could Victor confuse her with Phoebe? I'm really sensitive to actress changes - even dub changes - but based on her acting in these few scenes, if Holly had to leave the show, I think I could slowly accept this actress playing Piper.
I would have loved to see more familiar faces at the funeral, like Mr. Cowan, Paige's boss at South Bay. I know he was just the boss of her, but they developed a kinda good relationship while she was working there. Or Wendy? Piper's friend with her baby? I don't understand that on several occasions (mostly funerals and weddings) random people - who are said to be their friends - gather around and then they never show up again. Seriously, how they have so many friends that we've almost never seen during the show? Instead of Janice Dickinson, some old characters could have made cameos like Dan, Richard, Brittany... etc. Not just in this specific episode but in general.
Such a great chance to bring back some characters from previous episodes/seasons go to waste! Like the mermaid? Aviva? Kit? Derek and the baby? Lisa? The kid that had fire powers? Danny and his sister? Muses? Maybe some other magical creatures disguised as mortals like the nymphs, fairies, trolls.. and not JUST ONE leprechaun!!! C mon, the had a small budget but they kept bringing random new people instead using it to bring back some of the previous remarkable ones! 😩
It definitely is, but see they’ve been through so much so they’re allowed to do the wrong thing and it’s not selfish because of trauma. Also, it’s all Cole’s fault. I hope that clears everything up.
I loved the reference to Prue at the end of Something Wicca this Way Goes, it was the perfect nod to her character without physically showing her, as hinted by her telekinesis sound effect. Then Season 8 has to show up and ruin what was a perfectly acceptable ending. And to quote Phoebe "So we can get the next generation ready to pick up where we left off" only for season 8 to exist and have the girl's selfishness ramped up be eleven and not even bother to teach anyone! Everything about this opening shows the problems with season 8. The girls are just taking advantage of how many people are showing up to mourn them. "Look at me I'm more popular" also what is up with their leprechaun hate in this season? Treating a leprechaun mourning Paige as "not important" while leaving out human interactions that DO know of Paige.
Putting aside the fact the Charmed Ones are turning people mourning over their supposed deaths into a vapid popularity contest, they don't think about how confusing this might be for Piper's children?
I wonder how Wyatt didn't need a child psychiatrist after all these shit he went through after his birth. He was kidnapped, attacked, almost murdered, he witnessed lots of demon vanquishing, he even stabbed Gideon, and killed a man with the Excalibur... now there's his parents and aunts funeral, who are not even dead just sometimes look like someone else... 🥺 I know he's magical, and capable of literally anything, but he is also a kid who lives in a constant chaos.
Evernight Exactly! They keep focusing on how he’s this super powerful baby, but they gloss over the fact that he’s still a developing child whose probably gonna get negatively affected by all the stuff that’s happening around him. It just boggles my mind sometimes.
Glen should have actually been in this episode for visiting Paige's urn instead of just being mentioned that he came to visit it. Also her boss from the social services building...
In season five Paige was so infatuated with Glenn he became the subject of a hex she suffered. Now she doesn't even give a crap when he visits her wake.
Shows how little the writers cared or knew about their characters. Not to mention it forgets all the people she did know. Her friends at her Social worker job, that woman she helped get her son back, all those people she helped with temp jobs, Richard and the Calloways, etc.
Season 8 had a bunch of new writers that knew nothing about the show. Remember when Paige asked Piper and Phoebe how they vanquished the source the last time? When she was the one they did it with. It’s like they thought the source was vanquished when Prue was alive.
Anyone new on the show should've been made aware of what happened before hence the need for a continuity writer so people didn't question things year after year.
the worst season of charmed. the script quality is incredibly poor. phoebitch and piper who enter a competition to find out who is the most popular during their funeral is ridiculous it doesn't surprise me coming from phoebitch her ego has always been bigger than a building. And it does not look like piper to be so narcissistic. And when in paige where are her friends? glenn? co-workers? people she help? these writers really messed up this last season. They wanted to introduce billy which for me is the rotten apple of the basket, like being a witch version of buffy which is completely stupid and the effect did not take I imagine that they probably wanted to create a spinn-off around her. But thank god it didn't see the light of day. We were served enough bullshit with this eighth season.
