Nice video! I went inside this museum years ago. Last time I went in October 2022 I just walked around the outside. The Zocalo is one of my favorite places in Mexico City.

Thank you for your kind comment about our video Leslie, the Zocalo is a favorite of ours too. We did smell a lot of marijuana when we were there. Not a plus or a minus for us just something we noticed. -Marc

Just don't do what we did and go to a bar from those people yelling out the window to come inside. Complete ripoff 🤦🏽‍♂️

Very lovely video. I visited the Templo Mayor about 20 years ago. Mark, your pronunciation is getting better every day. You actually said "Tenochtitlan"! Just remember, A's are always pronounced ah. I really love your videos. My mother was raised in SLP so I've spent many many summers there. And I LOVE Mexico City! What fun you both must be having!

Hi Jean, We love living in SLP. Mexico City is a real treat to visit. We'll be going back again, we didn't get to see and do everything we wanted to do. Thank you for your kind complement about my pronunciation (i'm a work in progress as far as that goes). When was the last time you were in SLP and do you plan on coming back? -Marc

@@TheTwoTravelersInMexico I was there for 3 days in Nov 2022 for Dia de los Muertos. It had been 7 years before that. I plan to be back (if God permits) but I'm not sure when. Thanks for your kind response.

I had no idea that this was in CDMX, so cool and you said that they are still excavating! The artifacts are wonderful and very interesting, and the fact that this temple is in the middle of a very large city is astounding.

Hi Cindy, if you're in CDMX it's worth checking out. There are so many amazing museums to check out. -Marc

I was there last May, I spoke to an employee there and yes they are still discovering things. Its insane. I was lucky enough to go on a day where there was hardly anyone so I was able to soak it all in. My imagination was high haha just thinking how life must have been back in those days. And the view of the cathedral from there is picturesque.

@@porfiriato84 Yeah, we could see covered areas where they were still digging. Uncovering tings is a long process, it wil go on for many years there i think. -Marc

Would love to see this. I do get the flash photography thing, but I'm curious about the videography (especially if it was with a cell phone). Thanks for the tour!

A lot of museums are like that. No flash photography and no video. It's a mystery to me as to why you can't shoot video. I have seen people shooting video in places where they said you can't shoot video but i don't because it's a privilege to be there and I respect the rules.
