- Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. defended his running mate pick Wednesday, saying 38-year-old Silicon Valley attorney and entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan “probably has a higher IQ than almost anybody I’ve seen in public life today.”
Kennedy joined NewsNation’s “CUOMO” on Wednesday for his first interview since announcing Shanahan as his vice presidential pick. He made the announcement earlier this week at an event in Oakland, California, touting Shanahan’s passion for nutrition and healthy lifestyles, as well as her work with technology and artificial intelligence.

That was a great last question. Given RFK Jr.'s family history/losses, he knows danger is reality in his world and his interviews give us a window into that world, and the courage he displays choosing to enter public service despite it all. I need to know WHAT you all think you will be accomplished by voting for RFK adding to the possibility of Trump as President! I just meant that military personnel are at constant risk of health problems from exposure to environmental hazards, occupational hazards such as contaminated water, exposure to asbestos and lead, chemicals, infections,exposure to radiation of many kind, like Sonar, warfare agents (chemical and biological weapons)and other hazards of the job etc. Being in combat, being separated from your family can be stressful. The stress can put service members and veterans at risk for mental health problems. I’m dealing with some health issues my self but I’m holding on strong and proud of having served my country.
I am not sure what world a person lives in who could ask a veteran or active military person how they put their life on the line. When you sign up you are aware that you will be called to serve in any way you are ordered to do so. We as citizens should all be grateful for all of you as we sit safely at home watching you tube while others are defending us, sacrificing so much for our country. RFK jr wants vaccines to be tested with the same rigor that other medicines are tested with. And so do I. And so do a large percentage of the mothers in America. He is smart and wise, and he is gaining ground rapidly, especially with young people and independents..

AS a retired nurse in the health care system and later in pharmaceutical industry....I am SO disheartened by the lack of understanding of the lethal magnitude of the COVID epidemic. My family and friends who opted to receive the recommended vaccines all avoided the serious Covid infections and I am grateful that I had the choice of this option. I subscribe to integrated medicine that also promotes natural remedies and healthy lifestyle...and not denying that any product we introduce to our bodies has the potential for an undesired effect In Addition to the Positive Effects as well...lets not Dismiss those in the conversation! I would like an honest conversation with a few physicians and nurses (who were immersed in the critical care hospital wards over capacity ) about the ethics of this vaccine in light of the degrees of prevention it accomplished....including LONG covid which plagues victims possibly for life. Vaccines in my childhood saved endless lives and quality of lives without the disruption of political actors influencing that public health policy.
Unfortunately medications are not tested with scientific rigor at all.
And nobody has been willing to hear the heartbroken mothers of critically injured children whose lives dramatically changed for the worse after vaccination!!!!!!!
