Thanks for the film. I remember pre-Arndale when a whole swathe of ancient city centre streets and roads as far as Shudehill were swept away. Plus when the Stock Exchange on nearby Norfolk St was still a functioning stock exchange.
During the Jacobite Rebellion Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed on Market Street, on the Northern Side. Plus the River Tib flows under Market St near the junction with High Street.

That’s absolutely fascinating thanks so much for the info, I’d be curious to see what it was all like pre-arndale. This is why I enjoy recording what the city is like today, for possible future generations to be able to look back on.
I am surprised to hear the River Tib flows underneath, I had no idea!

Such a familiar location, yet it looks so different from this angle. Great shot when the drone rises quickly and moves backwards. Very dramatic!
