    You just made my weekend, thanks for the shout out. This is genious system. Very simple to build. I see you must have all caridina shrimp. I have both neos and caridinas. I will need to move some tanks around to place them in the same general area to simplify the system. I will be building this system. Thanks again for the shout out, and the great video.

    This looks great, would recommend one improvement to it. You can get the auto shutoff water motor for an ro filter, it only turns on when there is loss off pressure jn the pipe. I.e when the float valve is dropped and water is flowing. This will take out the need for a timmer.

    • @ShrimpMania
      @ShrimpMania  3 года назад

      @@pokosal7015 Hello, Yes I've used Purigen quite a lot before when I had canister filters. It helps to reduce nitrates by absorbing all organic matter in the water. You can use it to control NO3 in your tanks, it's safe for shrimps from my experience. I don't use it anymore because it's quite expensive and it takes some time to clean it with the bleach I also stopped using external filters in my tanks only sponge and UGF. Shrimps have a little bioload and if you don't overfeed and you do regular water change to withdraw NO3 you don't rally need it.
