Daddy is one of my favourite Sylvia Plath poems! I love Plath, definitely my favourite poet. She's so real and gritty and I truly cannot get enough. It's interesting that the poems were selected by Hughes, since their relationship was so volatile. I'd love to see which of her poems he chooses to represent her!
I'm studying Plath at the moment for AS. I absolutely adore her, Spinster is one of my favourite poems!

I wish YA Squad were able to come to Perth, it looks like it would have been so much fun! I read The Sidekicks in March and really, really enjoyed it (and maybe cried a little at the end), hopefully you enjoy it too :)

I actually really love the collection Ariel by Plath. One of the poems in Ariel, Lady Lazarus, is pretty much my favorite poem of all time.
I found that ironic too. Especially because it's a feminism lit class. Haha
we love Sylvia Plath!!!! She helps us keep things goth.

Sidekicks sounds really good, there are some people like that where they're everyone's best friend and losing them must be just like your world losing its axis.

Do you have any intentions on picking up Clockwork Price or Lady Midnight by Cassie Clare? Like you, I wasn't the biggest fan of the first 3 books of TMI and had no plans on continuing with her works but after being gifted City of Fallen Ages I fell in love with the second half of TMI, as well as TID and also Lady Midnight really is such an improvement from City of Bones+co! :)

I know I'm in the minority but I didn't enjoy Me and Earl and the Dying Girl much, it read very immature to me and the humor very forced. There were some issues with race and biphobia and misogyny in it too that I obviously wasn't too fond of.
I've never read any Sylvia Plath, hopefully you like it! Maybe i'll pick it up :)
+The Novel Sanctuary Was about to comment that I did not like that book but decided to scroll through comments and see if anyone had already said it! For exact the same reasons, did not enjoy it the slightest, just had many many issues with it.

I also disliked Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl very much. I felt that there was really no plot and everything was kind of force. I feel that they might have been trying to make a Perks of Being A Wallflower type of reading but failed miserably.
