  • This is a video showing the procedure how to replace the LCD, as it is the only solution to fix the fading pixels issue.
    This might apply to some Skoda and Ford instrument clusters from early 2000s

    Lcd fading is very common in multiple types of devices.
    Most of them can be fixed when heat is applied when compressing the layers.
    you will effectively laminate the layers together again.
    look it up, you will see how easy it is.

      Hmm, interesting. I will order some polarizer film and try. Indeed, there is some film applied on both sides of the LCD. Thanks for the tip.

    Flux was missed, when soldering the display!

      I wanted to use, but someone with more experience than me recommended not to use on this application. I don't know the reason.
