Africa seems to thrive on "liberation" struggles. Everyone feels the need to liberate others, but no one feels the need to liberate others from themselves.
Those who acquired legal status fraudulently, also fall in the same category as those that are illegal. Regarding the legal immigrants, there should be a quota..and only immigrants with scarce and highly specialized skills should be considered
If our country was operating competently and we had the infrastructure and support in place to train SA citizens to become highly skilled workers, businesses wouldn't be relying on foreigners to begin with. Enforcing quotas now will just get rid of what little skilled workers we have...you know, because our country already chased most of them away with the high crime, corruption and looting.

This can be easily done, Home affairs may track each and every person living in these houses, flats or apartments for valid documents. Most importantly new laws should be put that prohibits vending and soliciting unnecessarily within the CBD of JoBurg or private properties, it’s simple. Anyone operating business should have a valid permit. However, there is a thin line, being too harsh on foreigners may destroy tourism, investors and eventually economy. It’s not as simple as an average person thinks that eliminating foreigners will improve the economy. Never!! As South Africans let’s focus on praying to God to guide us and give us direction that will bring peace & prosperity in our country. We don’t want mayhem, anarchy and confusion in our country.
God has given us brains to think and to make decisions by ourselves and for ourselves, why would you want to act dumb before him? You have made so many wrong decisions in your life without consulting God, why now??
You are right....the tourism industry has been hit extremely hard and this doesn't help those that want to visit or invest here. No one would dare come here...
@Adams, no one's against foreigners but illegal foreigners, you seem to have this all wrong. Why would we cripple our own economy. Perhaps you are to listen to what this movement's about and not just jump on an uninformed band wagon
If these South African blacks showed the same energy in confronting illegal nonblacks, their country would be much better, economically. But, instead, they focus on small fishes, leaving out the big fishes. The biggest illegal immigrant group in South Africa is the Mzungus, who have been illegal for the past four hundred years. And even though they're only 10% of the population, they control 70% of SA's wealth. But no. Black SAs would rather blame their woes on their fellow poor black African immigrants, and leave the ones who control South Africa's wealth . What a shame.

I have followed the narrative from afar and this is not quite true especially for this movement. They have mutated their narrative from illegal foreigners to just foreigners.
