- Alright, so, this is it! This is the expected 1 hour version of the original "Stone Cold" Steve Austin theme song in his debut after he had won in King of The Ring in 1996 against Jake Roberts for the title. Since then, the 1st theme song was used up until in mid or early 1998 (during the one of the most successful era in the history of wrestling - the Attitude Era [aka Non-PG / TV-14 Rating era]) when they used the "too clean" version of the same song used (Hell Frozen Over).

Indeed so. I'm much more preferred on this theme than the 2nd one (that was used in mid-1998 when the guitar riffs are more heard than the drums-n-bass, which in my opinion - maybe not good), due to the drums-n-bass sounds that have more bad-ass moments though.

If I'm not mistaken, Austin referenced the Book of John - Chapter 3 verse 16 (Jesus teaches Nicodemus), into some kind of an "insult" to Jake "The Snake" Roberts (on his faith) after the match (where he won and got the "King of the Ring" title). Well, who would know that Ted DiBiase disliked Austin's interpretation of John 3:16 in the Bible (could be possibly "disrespectful". Yes, Ted is a Christian - so he had the right to "criticize" it at that time, and even today as well)?
For as every Christian know, it says: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
But instead, he just gave the one-of-the-most iconic bad-ass quote of all time in WWE history: "Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass!". It was just his "personal signature" so that fans across in and out of the USA would remember well, for sure.
Also, I think this is the only verse mentioned other than 3:16 so far. There were no other additions aside from what I've mentioned, otherwise please let me know ASAP.

Ah yes, one of the last remaining Stone Cold themes that has yet to be released along with the Arena Version of Circle Of Doom and Paranoid.
Hopefully this will finally be released on a future Uncaged Album like the 2nd theme from 97 was 'Cold Hearted' (It sounds almost identical to this version but has the intro cut and the police sirens end abruptly between each verse)

This version is the best. The version which came after this is watered down and does not match the intensity of this one.
