After competing for a spot in the group in the survival show No Mercy in 2014, Monsta X debuted as a hip hop/edm focused group in 2015 and Trespass was their debut song (and the name of their debut album) Even tho they debuted with a strong hip hop/edm focus, Monsta X are well known for their diverse sound and style, whilst always maintaining that Monsta X flavour throughout. Everyone has a stereotype that all their sound is loud and hype, because a lot of their Korean title tracks are selected for high impact live performance purposes, because that is one of Monsta X's many strengths, and although they do have a lot of this harder sound throughout their discography, the X in their name is the mathematical X - an unknown variable, there to tell us from the get go that they will always experiment with sound and style and not limit themselves sonically or linguistically. They are extremely versatile artists when you dive in past the surface, as their music is incredibly eclectic in style, genre blending and language (Korean, Japanese and English, plus a little splash of Spanish here and there) They released their second Full English album The Dreaming on the 10th of December, only a few weeks after releasing their Korean mini album No Limit, which Rush Hour is the title track to, both albums are incredible and showcase their range. Their English songs have a very different vibe to their Korean and Japanese work, and they have always experimented with their Korean b-sides. This allows them to never remain stagnant and complacent, they are a 7 year old group that continually improve and expands on their skillset, and broaden their discography (keeping it fresh and exciting for Monbebe) This thirst for freshness and range has shaped them into the incredible all rounders in the industry that they are.
I don't know about 'angsty' per se, but Monsta X do have a darker, more mature style than most groups, because when they debuted they were all adults in their early 20's, except the maknae I.M who was 19. In Korea they are know as intimidating, sexy, 'Beast idols'. But their range and discography are so much more diverse than that. Their rap line is one of the best in the industry, AND they both can sing! Their vocal line is incredibly strong too, with Kihyun (lead vocal) rated as one of the best singers by industry professionals! The group all have very unique vocal tones that work so well together. They are a very popular, yet very slept on group. I'd love to see ya'll dive in deeper with them!

One of the members of BTS Suga is friends with Kihyun.

Finally more of the criminally underrated Monsta X! Monbebes rejoice! You can pick any MX song and have a good time. Dance practices are pretty insane too. Their Korean releases are the darker more mature side with our favorite spitfire rap line, whereas their English releases are more R&B ballads. The Japanese releases are a mixture of both, but stripped down a bit (except Kiss or Death which is all out crazy). Beautiful was my introduction to MX, and is still on repeat. Shoot Out, Alligator, Rush, Stuck, Hero, Wanted, Jealousy, Dramarama… Any title track will leave you satisfied. Let’s not even start on their b-sides…

Short story short, he was wrongly accused as well as cyberbullied by a jealous wrench (I wont say her name, she is EVIL) but in the end he won his case and cleared innocent. More Monsta X please! Their Discogrsphy is so good and so versatile as well. I highly recommend reacting to Hero. One of my alltime favorite of them. Alos they hve one of the best raplines in the entire Industry. I defintly recommend checking out I:M's Solo Stuff, it's very different from their songs as a group but i think you'd like it. God Damn, Loop & Horizon are some of my favoites from him.

This one of many favorite songs I love by them 🥰😁😎 #TRESPASS #MonstaX 😭 I miss that era of Monsta X so darn much; Monsta X will always be OT7 in fans and members hearts. Please don't forget to show some support for former member #WONHO with his solo career #LosingYou #OpenMind #LOSE #BLUE. Short story short, he was wrongly accused as well as cyberbullied by a jealous wrench (I wont say her name, she is EVIL) but in the end he won his case and cleared innocent. IGNORE ALL NEGATIVITY THATSURROUNDS WONHO BECAUSE HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG.
Also currently their oldest and leader #SHOWNU is in the military now and soon so will WONHO, KIHYUN and MINHYUK since all three of them are born in 1993.
