Biological Diversity with Shannon Entropy and Other Measures

In this video, I'll tell you about some of the basic measures that could be used to give you a single number that captures some of the features of biological diversity. In particular, I talk about Shannon Entropy and the effective number transformation that can be used to make measures such as Shannon entropy more closely match intuitive notions when species are uniformly distributed.

I could. Not sure if I will. These sorts of videos barely get any hits or attention and it's a fair amount of work to make them as well, so there's not much reward in it of any kind.
