This guy was truly a legend. I still remember that awful day. I stayed up all night following all the local news channels hoping for good news and that he would be okay. Around 2 in the morning we got news that he was responsive to the doctors but just hours later his condition quickly deteriorated. I cried like I had never cried before. This man meant so much to so many people who didn't even know him personally. You will be missed. #RIP21

dude was a physical monster. I remember playing pick up games of basketball at LA fitness in miami with him. Sad day when I drove past his house on old cutler road in Miami and saw police there.
Even if he's not a HOF which he deserves to be, he will always be in my eyes!

November 27, 2007 my boys lost a legend. Sean Taylor will always be missed and he is still a legacy to my Skins and me everyday. He has left his mark on the franchise. RIP Sean Taylor.

Every time I watch a video of Sean, see his signed memorabilia, or see a tattoo of him on someone I can’t help but get tear eyed. It’s so amazing to see these comments and see how many people thought the same as what I believe. He was magnificent, he was one of his own, he was something special. Rest easy may he rest peacefully.

I love football, more than most things, but with the way the game is changing I think it's time to sober up and understand that there will probably never be a player like Sean Taylor in the league again. He was a different breed of player and he embodied football, he will always be missed and regardless of which team you root for it's important to recognize this man's greatness and realise just how special he really was.

In my opinion the best free safety to ever play the game, 6' 3",,230 LBS who ran the 40 yard dash in 4.4 sec ( been timed at 4.37 before without pads) with pads on, he hit harder then Vilma and DJ Williams --- as the great Future Hall of Famer Ed Reed once said " Shaun was even better than me "
