  • Despite what it states on the KitchenAid site, the US model icecream attachment DOESN'T fit on an Australian or European model KitchenAid mixer.
You can either buy an new drive assembly (A9709419) and dasher (A9709415) OR REMOVE THE WASHER that is in the way!!!
Here's how you remove the washer.

Great video! Just checking, the little nose above the bowl is still the same for all other attachments right?

Fantastic vid. Although I only just found that alternatively you can order driver assembly for about £20 in the uk. But seriously, do we need a washer?

What's the use of the washer ? ,,, if I took the washer off, will I face trouble in other attachments?
    Thanks for sharing

They will say safety or regulations in those regions but this sort of thing is simply to stop you buying cheaper parts in America. To even get them shipped to Australia you can save a lot.

Liam Dilley I wonder if the spring above the washer in your country is required? KitchenAid is recently removed the spring from American models which is causing the beater to bounce up and down make a lot of noise no one likes the decision but they keep saying the spring itself is not necessary.

Liam Dilley maybe if those Regulators always videos showing people taking that piece off maybe they wouldn't require it

I'm from America is that the only thing different then from our model vs ur country's model I heard u guys have a different plug is that true ?

    • @AJHowarth

Yeah in Australia the plugs are different and so the power is different. I'm told if you get an adapter that changes the voltage or whatever, you'll be just fine.
