They've only been Dirty Loops since 2008, but they all went to the top music school in Sweden, and Henrik and Aaron have played together since they were kids (Jonah is a year younger, so not in the same class). Henrik started as a professional session musician after school when he was just 16. I'm in awe of all of them. I'm 70, and I've never heard anything so tasty! Listen to Breakdown to get a better sense of Jonah's range/voice, and to Follow the Light for a jaw-dropping bass solo from Henrik.
What blows me away about Dirty Loops is how they can play such complex jazz fusion, but still keep things accessible for a non-jazz audience. It's a fine line they walk.

Hey Daniel....Great to hear from you and love your comment. Where are you based? I've heard good things re Thriller.. I'll most definitely be doing a Reaction to that .
Hi! I am living i Sweden, i’ve been on 4 concerts with DL, Aron always give a drumsolo live. Being a drummer myself so I focus on Aaron a lot, so complex & tasty, you have a lot of DL to explore.. and I also recommend Jonah’s solo album, try “Diamond ring”🎅🏽
It’s always nice to watch someone discovering Dirty Loops. Even though Work shit out showcases Aron’s abilities better than any other DL tune, all their songs are great in their very own way. Rock you is very good. If you would like to hear Henrik a bit more (I sssure you that you do), World on fire, or Follow the light, is great. Coffee break is over is just pure fun. I do hope you do react to some more of their stuff! Subscriber #59.
Hey Ingmar. I'm still blown away by what I heard today and straight after recording this video....I recorded another one. Which airs on Monday next week. I plan to shoot more videos next week. David
Welcome to Dirty Loops...explore their entire catalog....they are amazing, full stop. There's a small side project with Henrik and Aron called Songs for Lovers...you can find them on here...a lot of tasty work from Aron there as well.... As a drummer myself, another great video for dumming is Larnell Lewis' Zildjian Live session....you can find it here on RUclips....it'll change you.
Yes, DMD, let’s have more from this cats! And yes, I’ll be watching this space and I’ve subbed (coming 56th :) Thanks for doing this reaction and having your mind genuinely blown by these dudes ☺️ (I’m ingefiddle here by another name, dunno why YT chose to give me a different name when posting on my iPhone….) I’m glad you liked it and really appreciated your comments on their playing, their musicality and Aron’s CHOPS! That build-up in his solo is insane, as are some other build-ups in this piece, it nearly makes your mind explode…. Aron is phenomenal on every single one of their tracks, I think, but here in this one he gets to shine. And Henrik Linder’s bass playing is just so good ⭐️⭐️⭐️ You’ll probably listen to this again, and might find more incredible stuff at 2nd listen, I imagine. Had I been your 100th subscriber, I had wished for a reaction to their track “Rock You”… Every single thing they do is insane, you can pick anything and it’ll be gold! For another Aron solo thing check out their short vids on the making of the Samsung Galaxy ringtone (2016 I think). They each posted a vid of themselves doing a short solo, and all three are 💥💥💥 Link below. Cheers my friend, and thanks again for lending your ears and your heart to this piece 🙏👌
yeah this is the best track to get introduced to DL. You'll enjoy them all, and for different reasons for most. And we'll be here to join in. If I can, audio levels a bit off, your mic is panned right, your explosions were twice the dB of the band. Feel free to talk over, or pause and talk, or whatever you prefer, but I like to hear the song loud and had actual pain during your explosions lol. Which I'm sure you aren't intending ;-) well not yet...you don't know me yet!
It's always great fun to see someone discover Dirty Loops for the first time and have their minds blown. They are, in my opinion, ridiculously good, and this is one of my absolute favourites by them. Great to hear there's more coming. You could pretty much react to any of their songs, from the oldest covers to the latest releases from the collab album with Cory Wong, and you most likely won't be disappointed. They've all known each other for 20+ years by now (Henrik and Jonah got to know each other when Henrik was 11 and Jonah 9, and Aron - who is a year younger than Henrik and comes from a southern part of Sweden originally - came along when he started in music high school in Stockholm at the age of 16. Just like you pointed out, it's obvious how much fun they have playing together, and that's true when they're playing live as well. I finally got to see them this summer, and it was mindblowingly good. If you want to see what gear Aron is using, check the end of the credits, where all their gear is listed. Looking forward to your next reaction to them! ☺
Hey. It was most well and truly blown as you can see from the videos...and no doubt.. Will still be blown away in the upcoming videos. Next one out on Monday. Wow...where did you see them live about? Are you also based in Sweden?
@@DMDrumsscotland Yeah, I'm Swedish as well. I saw them at a small, outdoors jazz festival (Världsarvsjazzen), in the middle of nowhere outside of Söderhamn. Wonderfully cozy location and an absolutely brilliant concert, where they gave their everything (and were really funny to boot), even though it was rather a small audience and the weather was not the best. Gotta love these guys.
@Lotta Wiklund Sounds like an amazing experience. Please, I'd there are other pages/groups you are part of, please share share share the video. I have an idea go attempt to contact the band in 2023 for a chat
@@DMDrumsscotland sorry for misrecognizing your accent David, i'm not so familiar with european English, i'm selftaught English speaker. I saw your video on Simon Philips, and i already knew You had amazing taste in music. I'll try to comment and share your reactions with My English-speaking-music-loving Friends. Have a great end of the year!
Wonderful that you’re doing more DL ❤ This reaction was so nice! May I recommend a live recording of their Lady Gaga cover on TV a few years ago? It shows their skills so well with tight explosive drumming from Aron, amazing bass solo from Henrik and flawless vocal runs from Jonah one would think wasn’t possible in such cold weather 😂 Link: ruclips.net/video/yEhjI0SmCLI/видео.html
Hey, subbed! Would you please check out Matt Garstka, Gordian Naught? Insane drummer, maybe the best or at least top 3 on the planet today, you will NOT be disappointed
The hard pan to the right with your voice is making my eyes water, bro. What's up with that? If the whole thing is like this I might not watch much, sorry.
Keep an eye out for another Dirty Loops Reaction video on Monday night .
I feel another 3 Reaction Videos may be on they're way.

You've been loopyfied. Lovely to see. Welcome to the DL rabbit hole and my favorite band. 💯👍 You have a lot to discover.
I sure have my friend. Where are you based?
@@DMDrumsscotland I'm from Sweden. Not far from where they grew up, so I guess I'm biased.
I think a trip to Sweden is on the cards for me in 2023. To meet the amazing Dirty Loops fans.
Love it! Keep it coming. You need to check out “next to you” 👍
It's gonna be an awesome journey guys. I think i need to come to Sweden soon !!!!
Despite the title, this is one of DL's most popular songs. Very excellent artistry. They LOVE their "job" although it is more like a love for them.
