A man who is hung has an entirely different condition. It's one of those archaic bits of English we don't have to think about much any more, but there is a proper terminology for it.

The truth is that ottoman empire's wierdly more stable politics and huge strike of capable rulers ( until vienna ) enabled it to withstand this great challenge . Byzantium while having more times to go to hell and back at this stage it was truly unable to pay for its mistakes. Thus i think you are right , its an extremelly impressive feat .

I am curious about the relationships and the emotions of Murad II. Did he have a distant emotional relationship with his brothers, uncles and so on? Or was this warring among relatives troubling to him? Because from the description of these events. It seems like the Ottoman rulers must have been used to fighting their family in power struggles and not been particularly close.
There were a few decision makers in the Ottoman Empire. Jews, Khazar Turks, Muslim Anatolian Turks. Throne changes occur due to the conflict of these groups. For example, Murad II did not hand over the throne to his son, saying, "I am tired, I will swim in the Mediterranean now."
Even Mehmet 1 is underrated in history after his father(Bayezid) losing battle at Ankara he rebuild the empire working effortlessly all his life on its own which resulted in saving in downfall of empire .

You know I never really studied the 1400s I feel like that 1400s-1500s most people don’t really know about it, but looking at the borders of countries during that time it seemed pretty chaotic.
What you see in this video (map of years 1400s) is basically what left over of previous centuries. Years 1300s is probably the most chaotic years human ever see (There a video on this channel that explains years 1300 on Europe). So basically years 1300s in Asia that I know first disintegration and infighting of Mongol Empire (Including fall of Ilkhanate) this allow man like Timur to rise. Collapse of Seljuk Sultanate of Rum allowing Rise of The Ottoman. Internal strife in Mamluk Egypt and Delhi Sultanate, in south east Asia Majapahit Empire Decline due to civil war and many more

If you really are offended, then you should also stop calling the PRC Chinese as they are a collection of many other groups of people: Xinjiang, Tibet, parts of Mongolia... The Ottomans are as Turkish as the PRC are Chinese. The offensive thing is that you are forgetting the Ottomans' past; their history is as important as any other group of people
