I remember when this was going on. I also remember when Bill Cosby told the enraged residents of South Central LA to calm down go home and watch the last episode of The Cosby Show.
Are you serious? If that's true Bill Cosby was clearly far removed from the reality of black people and simply lived in his utopia of white validation. That's hilariously pathetic.
@@stevensuarez4843 no. I wasn't always recording the news back then. For whatever reason I just decided to record that day. I think I was in complete disbelief as to what was happening.
I told you I would let you know when and if I had anymore riot footage... Well, I found more on a tape, and I have uploaded it. ruclips.net/video/b2ciQdUPbOQ/видео.html
I was only 3 years old, I found out about this later on when I watched LA 92 on Netflix back in 2017. And then I also watched another documentary called let it fall 1982 - 1992. To this day, nothing has changed. RIP Rodney King and Latasha Harlins.🙏
I don't know what was going on here, but if you want an example of what a real riot should look like, take a look at what was taking place during the 1965 Watts uprising.
The LA riots lasted 6 days resulting in 63 people dead and 2,383 injured, 12,111 arrests and $400 million in damages. While the Watts Riots were 5 days resulting in 34 people dead, 1,032 injured, 3,438 arrested and $40 million in damages, with inflation that's $177 million in 1992. All that said, both riots are horrific.
@@TupacNationYeah 92 was much worse and widespread. The only other riot I can think of that was as widespread as LA 92 was Detroit 67 because the rioting happened throughout the city.
