the dread guild merger, Ive had that happen a few times for the same reason, the guild master or raid leader got too big for their britches and thought they were a boss. One guild I was (still am) in the guild leader wasnt satisfied with our progression back in the day, we were mostly a 10man normal raiding guild and he wanted to do more. So when free transfers came up, he convinced us to transfer from Mal'ganis to Archimonde and merge with another guild whom we found out he was moonlighting with on our non raid nights. Needless to say, the guild died shortly thereafter because the new "hardcore" guildmates were utter tool bags and 8/10 of our old 10man raid team just unsubbed and never came back, which lead to their hardie cores doing the same eventually. I check in now and again, they havent raided since like Cataclysm...
Definitely didn't play a Prot (and offspec Holy) Paladin in classic that yoinked a Mageblade over some casters by convincing my guild that the bonus spellpower was needed for threat gen. Nope, couldn't be me. On the bright side, it was great for farming Dire Maul lashers. :)
The end of “The BAD Guild” reminded me of my friend who joined a prog group for an ultimate in FFXIV. Before the very first night of prog, someone in their prog discord asked which strat was going to be used for a specific mechanic. The leader proceeded to delete the discord entirely and abandon the ultimate prog group. It took a single question for them to fold lmao
Makes sense classic lewt would cause most drama, simply due to scarcity and lack of alternatives. There's 2-3 drops per boss from usually a 10-12 loot table, shared between 40 people. You might actually never see that drop again for months, let alone win it. Had a friend who never saw a lifegiving gem despite raiding weekly through all of vanilla.
That last story, yeah, even in VoI LFR you have players legit just standing still AFK. Most recent experience was a Tauren Rogue not even auto attacking the boss. Just standing in the back with the healers. Shit is wild.
Story 1 was a classic and reminded me of my days in early WoW (I was deep Prot). I did not struggle on Threat though I did use more Fury because I wanted more DPS anyway.
The reason classic wow items are so good is because if the MASSIVE differences in item quality. Not every 2h sword has a bajillion strength like ashgandoor. In all the other versions if you don't get the 2h sword u can just get the 2h axe or 2h mace that's essentially within 0.5% dps of eachother. This is true even as early as ICC or even the super gucci blacksmithing weapons in BC (although there were still very distinct differences in BC there were still options)
I was rogue in this guild since ZeGe release 😅 Hard to say, but this guild was the best what I played with since I started play wow in 2005. We had alot of fun and laught despite that the GM were kinda toxic sometimes. I’ve just simply muted him after couple screams what he made on discord. Yep, it’s true. The ZeGe raids, BWL, AQ40s were a shitshow. Most likely because people not paying attention whole raid and sharing random thoughts during the bossfights. For example Xbox one or Nintendo switch and so on 💩 but I doesn’t really cared that much due to the world has stopped because of corona, and I’ve played 12-14 hours a day with them. I pushed really hard in this guild, and they paid my effort with some big lewtz. It was fair back and forth. First Death Sting drop after 2-3 months of AQ40 and Kingsfall on first ever KT kill (out of 2😂) were unforgettable moment 😇 The last couple days you could feel in the air this guild won’t last long tho, and our glorious meme creater made a video based on our guildies screenshots. I left some tears watching that video mate 😢 fk
Man that guild can't even do world buff order right, you know how much songflower ticked away between booty bay and flying to lights hope. not even a summon train? come on guys for shame. Got to get dire maul first, then heart, then rally cry, rend, fly to songflower and only lose 5 mins, then get a summon to naxx. of course under naxx as somehow the no lifers who had the level 20 lock alts figured that out and avoided purge bots and pvp that way. oh classic.

You're really onto something about Vanilla gear, I swear. I've been playing Classic since Vanilla, and I've been playing retail as well since DF launched, and I'm still on Wrath doing Ulduar each week. Point being: I've never seen more bullshit drama over loot than I did in Vanilla Classic. I think it's partially because of how many people are in the raid vs. how little loot drops. You're talking about waiting months for something like DFT, and pretty much every melee is going to use it forever once they get it. There are a lot of those in your 40 man raid, btw. Lotta sweaty, angry fury warriors pissed off at their leather wearing step cousins for daring to get a DFT before them. I think in like literally 12 months of MC I saw like 3 Cauterizing Bands.
Just tell me... Do you change all the out-of-game communication systems to be called "Discord" even though during vanilla WoW that program didn't exist?
Anti political correct guilds are fine. Why? Because if they do/say something you dont like, call them gay, and they call you it back, both of you laugh, and continue on with having fun gaming. If people dont like it, nothing is keeping them from staying in the guild. If words hurt your feelings then you have the freedom to remove yourself from the conversation/guild/etc and find like-minded people. Its a win for everyone. Some people just like comedy in all forms subtle and edgy or dark and just want to have freedom to say whatever they want. If you worry about hurting peoples fragile feelings with mere words, well, that is a dystopian nightmare most people dont want to live in. The problem isnt your words, the problem is their mental illness. Tip-toeing around peoples mental illness vs having those people seek professional help only leads to more and worse problems. Allowing only one side to say what they think to create the illusion of political correctness, creates animosity and hatred vs just letting people be free to say whats on their mind and walk away. That keeps it from bottling up and exploding in a less than constructive manner. I remember growing up as a kid in the 90s where the saying "sticks and stones can break your bones but words will never hurt me". That phrase is 100% true, and only mentally ill people of today come to the conclusion that vibrations of air in a particular sequence to make words is the same as a physical attack that literally breaks bones. Its insanity and people need to stop surrendering to insane people.

In FFX if you use Yunas overdrive, you can use an Aeons overdrive twice if was ready to use. Why you'd dismiss and resummon is a mystery to me, noob.
