Your song about 2 A.M. and can't sleep is usually when I'm up to take my cancer meds on an empty stomach, so I tune into your channel and smile at the Love in your Beautiful family that comes across so vividly!! Stay safe and thank you for helping us come along on your journey!! We live in a house on 5 acres and that I've let grow up into trees and brush to shut out the neighbors on either side, but after 42 yrs it is getting too much for the wife and I to take care of after 44 radiation treatments, I'm just starting to get some strength back and still have little stamina!! Life is good and God is in charge!! So stay safe and continue with your Dream!! Dennis

Looks awesome! Y'all have come so far. I remember way back when y'all first started out and you were working and carrying the baby on your back at the same time. Don't know how you did it but you did. With all the craziness going on it's great the kids have all that land and freedom to just get out and run and play! So cute how the little lamb just runs right in behind the kids.

The stone and the mortar(grout) along with that Great looking, perfect size, food tastes so much better wood stove makes your house a wonderful Home. I really saw that in your eyes on this video, I have to say the little lamb is so cute, and how it follows your son around, it’s one of many things (I feel at least) that shows that you can build a beautiful home and not loose the love you have for your family, well done good friend!!! I am looking forward for anything and everything from you guys. Thank You for giving me and everyone the opportunity to follow along to see good people doing Great things!!! Stay safe in this very trying time.

Love that you guys do things right so they don't have to be done again in hopefully years to come. You don't "squelch" on anything you put your hands to and your professionalism shows. After ALL of your projects are DONE (LOL); people may hire you to help them on their projects because you do such a great job and great team work! Kudos to you all. I've installed hundreds of stone fireplaces, hearths and stove walls like yours. One thing I wish I would have suggested before you got started in order to make the job go faster would have been to use a table spoon to smooth the mortar joints rather than wire brush and sponge clean. I generally use the wire brush and sponge to clean the excess mortar from the stones, but on the grout joints I would grout in around the stones and when I finish for the day, I would go back and spoon to the desired look you want and use a shop vac to suck up the loose sand and mortar that was spooned out. The job that you two did looks great but I know I could have saved you time. I know, I know... big help now that you have finished. LOL I love your family by the way!

Perhaps you would like to go fix that for them, and go manufacture some double-wall stove pipe considering that it is manufactured to certain sizes and not cut to fit. You can’t cut double wall in the field. OCD or not it would be more trouble than it’s worth trying to get it parallel, nothing is ever perfect.

Josh Rhoades no need to be a smartass. I know from experience It’s very possible to make it right. Don’t act like it’s impossible feat.

@@joshrhoades7034 Actually it isn't that difficult. They just need to take the short piece at the bottom and put it up on the angled piece. Should match about right because the elbows are adjustable.

You guys are doing a fantastic job! You have been able to balance the build and family time. I did the same 35 years ago but I was so intense on the house build I missed doing things with the kids. Keep the balance so when you grow old you don’t have any regrets.😏

PLEASE VENT TO THE OUTSIDE!!!! It is so important to get the air for combustion from the outside in tighter houses. Some models pick it up from the stove pipe. Looking great. Keep up the great work.

I think that is a pretty new thing. I've had wood stoves in many houses for years, even mobile homes that are very tight, and never had a vent to get air in, and never had a problem with a lack of oxygen. :)

@@debradiane3929 Long term exposure to low levels of carbon monoxide causes brain damage. With 3 young kids in the house, why chance it? It will also heat the house much better in the winter because it won't be pulling all that cold air in from outside. Depending on if appliances are gas or electric, adding make up air for the clothes drier and range hood isn't a bad idea either.

Both of you with your lovely kids realize the life of less than 2% of total people in the world normaly realize. Reason is simple: Both of you, still being young had a dream you set to realize and you made everything possible so it comes true." We make our luck" people say. In your case you were both determined to reach your goal and the chemistry between each one of you is very great, because it is a great Love, and such love can only be built on consistance day after day, Make sure you andd water, air and sun to make it growing tall and very strong. God bless you and your so nice kids and makes everything possible to give the umbrella to protect the treasure you are building with your nice kids. I am so happy for you, I can't hold the tsars coming out of my eyes. Alan from Quebec Province, Canada.

You should use a slip -joint on the lower section. You will probably need to use a shorter section off the stove or aft the slip joint. The reason I'm saying this is because ( at least on film ) it looks a little off on the symmetric s with the angle of the interior slope. I've installed systems like yours for 30yrs. You have done a wonderful job as far as I can see.
