@@mehere8038 how you pull out without using tools LoL, share you video if you successful to pull it out, even to follow this video is not succeed how come you just pull it, prove it & share your video LoL 😂😂😂
Thank you for making this video, it is very helpful. but I will not buy this thermometer anymore. The battery is too inaccessible. It should be much easier to change it.
The last part shown 'L', means low temperature. That means, the sensor disconnected/break. I've try this, and it breaks. I can't think of how this thermometer is assembled in the factory. The sensor is disconnected when you pull the battery holder (actually, it is a whole thermometer module). And it seems no way to properly connects the sensor again.
OMG OMRON please do a better job than this. There is so much destruction and scratches created just in changing the battery. The design is so unfriendly and primitive.
They made it as a disposable device. They don't want you to be able to change the battery, they want you to buy a bew thermometer every time the battery dies.
It's the video that needs to do a better job, not the battery makers, video person cut through the pull out compartment that's designed to easily pull out with the battery for easy replacement. None of this is needed, at the most, the knife might need to go into the gap to widen it & get the pull out started, but cutting through the attachment bit is what caused them the problems. Amazing the battery was able to end up in the right place & still working after cutting up the thermometer like this really!
Inside wire got cut while doing this Be careful not to pull out the chip like this. Usually has a battery replacing hatch. No need to pull out like this. Mine was not responding but ended up breaking the temp sensitive wire
Alternatively, don't cut anything, just pull the base & it easily pulls out the entire battery compartment, just replace the battery in it & push it back in again. Why on earth did you not try to just pull it out before you cut through the pull out compartment? The battery in mine says L788, which I could not find & that's what I was looking for when this video came up, you did answer that for me, that I need a LR41 battery, so thank you for that, but please don't tell people to cut through the compartment that's designed to pull out for easy battery replacement!
once pull out the battery casing, the internal wiring attached from from sensor disconnected. then u can throw the entire thermometer. thats y this thermometer brand without battery cover like other design for battery easy replacement. dont buy this brand
Nope. You misunderstood it as I did. I watched other RUclips videos and found that the way she opened the case and tried to change the battery is absolutely wrong. Follow this ruclips.net/video/4eF4uTvh07o/видео.html
@@bhaskarmanchuru What you are talking about is the MC-246 model. The model shown in this video is the MC-245 model. It doesn't have a round battery cover (you can see it in the video) at the back.
Correct. Tried it and same thing happen. Termistor cant read anymore. Cant put back the small wire after pulling battery out. This is actually a disposable thermoter.
What the fucking shit design to make very difficult and cannot be done battery replacement . People are using thermometer for health issue ,not for pleasure. Make the design simple and user friendly.

A whole load of bull. The battery is impossible to change. I've even tried to saw the back of the device just to find out it cannot be opened. It's virtually disposable. Rubbish. Don't buy it!
The most complicated way, worst in user friendliness, unfortunately i brought this before seeing this video.
If you haven't yet followed the video, then just pull the base, DON'T CUT IT & the whole battery section easily pulls out for easy battery replacing

It is, you just pull the base & the battery comes out, change it & push back in! DON'T CUT IT & cause all these problems!
Thank you for sharing. I didn't even think this termometer could be a semi disposable device!

Hopeless design, should be far simpler to replace a battery

I cannot undo my model M 245 and I’ve never used it yet! It’s a nightmare
Dear what is replacement brand and model of LR41 battery? I can not seem to find exact match.
Brand is does not matter. You can buy any brand, model should be LR41
Good information.👍👍👍
Thank you.
Mine
MC-245
But use a different tiny battery L636F
Have to destroy the cap to get into battery compartment.
When i try to turn it on, it shows me a small sign that looks like infinity... What does that mean? Should I change the battery?
It means the battery was over. Replace the battery

Comprei 1 desse e não abria ...fiquei sabendo q era descartável....perdi...qse $30 reais
the cutting of the bottom part is very difficult. It is not designed to get the batteries replaced.
Useful Information sis..😊😊
