I wish there was a movie part to this movie, when Saya wakes up after 30 years, exploring Saya and Hagi's love story, it would be great if there was a new challenge the two of them had to face.
It annoyed me that they essentially skipped that portion of time when Saya was at her peak and most like her past selves, not the whining self-doubting emo Saya we get through most of the series. This Saya would have been far more watchable.
I mostly agree. I don't think Saya was unbearable however (she's actually one of my all time favorite characters), but for the audience, it could have been more watchable if we actually progressed naturally from her badass stone cold self to the weakened state of absolute exhaustion (which the show had been good at up until this point). To this day, it still bothers me that the timeskip bypassed rich story telling & character building and instead opting for "Oh yeah this happened I guess" in favor of a more melodramatic atmosphere.
If only Saya wasn't psychologically disturbed for wanting to be human we could have seen her go as far as Diva. I think Diva took the title of the badass character easily in Blood+ while Saya was just the emotionally shaky character.

I would still choose her over that self centered saya version of blood -c..god..now that's what monster is and an incompetent one at protecting people at that. What I don't understand is that Saya decided to fight the Chiropterans full bown after the deaths of her father and younger brother Riku like why couldn't she do this before they died? David and Haji told her specifically what would happen if she didn't fight back, someone was either gonna end up dead or transformed into a Chiropteran
Athenian Warrior She still had difficulty accepting that she wasn't at all human before her family members' deaths. I could recall she was very emotionally scarred and scared to pursue anything and she showed more emotion whenever she was made to do something. In the video, these were moments she was trying hard to be numb even though deep inside she was exhausted of taking up the role of one of the Chiropeteran Queens. Saya only wanted peace even in her past lives which is why her only goal was to kill Diva.

Yes, it would have been better George and Riku if Saya had accepted earlier but George knew what he was getting himself into when he decided to take care of Saya. This meant putting his, Riku and Kai’s lives all at risks. That being said, I think it was because of their deaths that Saya realized what she needed to do and accept the facts because she didn’t want a repeat of anything. I think their deaths were vital for Saya’s character development.
I always got the impression her psyche was permanently damaged by the forced awakening in Vietnam, and that David and even Haji didn't seem to full understand that, thinking she'd just be the "old Saya" as before.
Can anyone tell me where I can watch all the episodes of Blood Plus? I just found out about this anime last year and when this came out I wasn’t even born yet. So sad
It definitely sounds like a Hans Zimmer music, which it is, cause he actually worked on that anime's music. Not many animes can brag about having Hans Zimmer do the music, if not no other anime at all.
