So now that the whole Bitwig Spectral suite issue is over we can talk about them. This one is about the Frew Split, we will talk about how this device works and the options we have available to get something cool out of it and once we have that clear we will fool around with it.

Yes, totally. I like this one to fool around with sounds. The other ones I like them a bit more to do that, specially the loud. I will talk about them, but my PC ( mother and power supply died ) so I am awaiting the parts to keep recording, I am a bit stuck right now.

More coming right up. They are nice devices, the most important is you of course :).

Awesome! Looking forward to the remaining ones, because I feel like Freq Split is the most "boring" one of the four... Although we now finally have a clear, transparent frequency splitter with controllable "slope".
I found that with Spectral Suite Bitwig finally beats Ableton in terms of FX quality :)

I like the Freq Split, all of them can be used in different ways. I guess there is no right or wrong here.
It doesn't matter what beats what, lets just use them and forget about it.
People compare things all the time, it doesn't matter if Bitwig releases the ultimate FX devices, there will be always someone there to compare.

XNB, nice video and - of course - useful information.
But despite all the praises some inevitable criticism. At least the transient part of this Spectrum Suite device is - compared to it's purpose, very CPU-heavy and using it several times simultaneously in one project soon will drive the CPU to critical values (no, my Ryzen 9 5950X isn't a weak CPU... and 64G RAM also should not cause a problem).
Then: If one has at least some basic skills in The Grid it certainly isn't a problem for this person to create a way more versatile sounding device with even less CPU usage (and... BTW: The Grid also isn't a CPU-light-weight...).
The Spectrum Suite makes some unique effects, which are hard to accomplish with other on-board devices - currently and with the given devices. But again: Their use is - although versatile in one aspect - somewhat limited in specific understandings and their use in many kinds of commonly realized music projects... it would make sense to make this clearer using some examples... which I'm willing to count up... but currently I'm busy and this will have to wait a little.
But first: Think on "classic" types of instruments like drums and percussions (if your kick isn't lousy you hardly will want to "enhance" it ....and in the end it's getting worse.
We all know the principle "Keep it as simple as possible and make it as complicating as necessary. If you can achieve your sounds (which almost always will be possible,... because: If not, how have you produced your music until this Suite...? Or have you only produced sh*tty music yet...?!? I hardly believe that... so w h a t ?!?!?
It's a nice concept, but... to make a comparison:
A Vocoder can't be replaced by anything - it i s u n i q u e. The Delay is not replaceable (or do you know how....? It is u n i q u e and essential (like the vocoder, which BTW although very versatile, mostly isn't used).
But the Spectral Suite? Almost all properties can be at least basically replaced (not perfectly, but - hey?!? Is a Phase 4 replaceable? Except by using The Grid it isn't - but ... was it hyped even halfway comparable?
There are still features to come up with - each of them will be unique - if made professionally.
    BTW... regarding versatility:
As a very simple example: In almost any trance track you can make use of a vocoder a dozen times - without even being recognized by a listener, who only will wonder, how some effects were created because of their very special sound character (be it a pad, a lead, keys, even percussions and... of course FX... ) so again: "Only" the fact, that something makes some interesting effects achievable (with an manageable effort) doesn't make it "the burner"... otherwise it would be one of a heap of burners inside Bitwig Studio - and again in comparison with some other features quite insignificant.
Alongside all these praises it is important to keep the ground level reachable... don't forget: There are competitors - and they still are active.
Dont't misunderstand me, XNB, this is more addressed to...
    1) the "pure" fans who don't even know what "critical thinking" is
    2) the creators of Bitwig Studio, giving them an idea, that at least a few users still are looking straight forward and who to blind with some "shining features" at cost of the over-all-usability remains at least almost impossible
    3) the less than a handful of users, who - like me - still need their critical thoughts on a daily basis to simply survive in this current world of craziness
    ...and hardly to you.
You have made some very good jobs with these videos, I was able to watch from you... (which is a statement of mine, that sounds polite, but in reality it isn't even a basic help for you if you look for ways to enhance your work - right? So you know by now at least the sense of a constructive criticism, don't you?)...

Hello. Damn you wrote a lot.
The videos I create are what I call "Family shows", I try to help people to understand a bit better, that is all.
I cannot really go deep on every single thing because most people don't give a shit.
After all the years what I really think about the spectral or any other device, plugin, DAW, hardware is..."I like it or not ? Can it be useful or not ?".
I am done ultra analyzing and comparing things. I use them if they are fun and usable and move one. Time is highly important for me.
Bitwig has a lot of holes. But studio one, Ableton, Fabfilter, Arturia, Korg or any other company. I can stop every time I see a hole. So, I just try to enjoy, accept what it is and what it can give me and move on. For me, whatever gets the job done in a simple and fun way is king.
I apologize my answer was not as long as yours :S
Still, is nice to read about what people think in the comment and not just the usual comment like..."first"
Oh and I accept constructive criticism, but not disrespectful sarcasm or insults.
      Cheers.
